You Make Me Happy

Happy skies

I have to admit I had just a teensy bit of panic as I began to create this card and realized that we have just a little over three months left with the 2012-14 In Colors!  I can't believe these luscious colors are close to retiring!  I don't know how I'm going to live without Summer Starfruit!  And there's nothing else like Gumball GreenMidnight Muse is so much richer than Night of Navy, and the pinks are so pretty.  And the In Color Dahlias – oh, no!  So if you haven't purchased your 2012-14 In Colors, you won't be sorry if you make the investment.  And if you own stamp pads in these amazing colors, I strongly suggest ordering ink refills for each pad so that you can use them for years to come.

  • My card shows off a couple of Sale-A-Bration items – the stamp set is See Ya Later, and I've used the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder on the Gumball Green cardstock.
  • Don't think the High Tide Designer Paper is only meant to coordinate with the nautical stamp set!  Here I've  used the pretty Summer Starfruit pattern to bring some more texture in.
  • The Adorning Accents Edgelit makes a pretty scalloped border.
  • I have to say my most favorite tool in our 2014 Occasions Catalog is definitely the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.  I've already used it so much, and there are so many interesting ways to use it.
  • The Hearts Collection Framelits will give you any size heart you need – and I added a Summer Starfruit Dahlia to it – does it look like a sun to chase away the gray skies?
  • Some pretty Primrose Petal Ribbon is tied up with White Baker's Twine to complete the top of the tag.
