Thank You Note Card
It's me again with another card using Stampin' Up!'s Note Cards! I'd say I promise not to show you any more, but I might be lying! Love these little 5" x 3-1/2" cards on pg. 162 of the Annual Catalog. At only $5.95 for 20 cards and envelopes (in either Crumb Cake or Whisper White), they're a real value. If you missed my previous postings on things to do with note cards, you can find them HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE.
I used the stamp set Blooming with Kindness for both the image and sentiment. To create the 3-tone flower I followed these easy steps:
- Ink up entire flower stamp using a Pink Pirouette stamp pad. If you'd like a different color flower, just remember to use the lightest color first.
- Next I used a Blender Pen to REMOVE the ink from the stem and then a Pear Pizzazz Stampin' Write Marker to color direct to rubber.
- To add the darker color – in this case Primrose Petals – use a Sponge Dauber and just dab on color over the Pink Pirouette on the stamp.
- Be sure to remoisten the ink by "huffing" on it, then stamp down. Remember that ink is a liquid, so give it time to absorb into the cardstock. That's true anytime you stamp. Sometimes stamping too quickly leaves a lighter image than you wanted or omits areas of the stamp.
