Timeless Talk and What’s Your Type

Timeless Talk and What's Your Type2

Oh how I love the pretty color combination in Stampin’ Up!’s Gold Soiree Specialty Designer PaperCalypso Coral, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding and Garden Green, with Gold.   I have to admit, I wasn’t much of a Garden Green fan, but Stampin’ Up! has used it in two different designer papers this year (the other one is Flower Pot Designer Paper), and the colors that they’ve put it with make it just the perfect green.

  • The stamped images come from Timeless Talk.  I’ve stamped the bicycle in Garden Green Ink and the sentiment in Gold Ink.  A little flower from Boho Blossoms Punch with a Garden Green Candy Dot are cute accents for the hub of the wheel.
  • Two strips of Gold Soiree Specialty Paper accent the left side of the main image.  To make the Calypso Coral scalloped edge, just punch three 1″ circles and adhere them at the half-way point along the back side of the designer paper.
  • I love that we now have Baker’s Twine in both gold and silver – it’s a great accent to the Gold Soiree paper!
  • I pulled out my What’s Your Type stamp set to create the border of circles stamped tone-on-tone down the left side.  This brand new photopolymer stamp set is going to have so many uses!  Check out another card I’ve made using What’s Your Type HERE.

Hey You and What’s Your Type

Hey You and What's Your Type

Today I want to show you another yummy designer series paper – this one is Confetti Celebration with a fun color palette of Basic Gray, Bermuda Bay and Tangelo Twist.  This could definitely work for the man in your life.  And don’t forget – the Buy One Get One Free sale continues on all regular designer series papers.

  • We all like shiny, new toys, right?  So I hadn’t used my Top Note Die with my Big Shot in quite some time.  But it works so well for this layout.
  • You’ll want the new Hey You stamp set from Stampin’ Up! as a wonderful small, basic sentiment set that’s so usable.  It comes with Congrats and Thank You, too, and it’s just $10.95 for clear-mount.
  • You’re definitely going to see lots of cards made with the What’s Your Type photopolymer stamp set!  It’s fast becoming my go to stamp for little accents, and I just love what Stampin’ Up! has done with making it a letter set.  Check out pg. 161 of the Annual Catalog to see how this geometric set is also an alphabet set!  Anyway, for this card, I used the half circle image to stamp a border along the bottom of my card.
  • I’ve added a Candy Dot Brad with Basic Gray Candy Dot, as well as some Bermuda Bay Baker’s Twine as accents.  Did you know that Stampin’ Up! now carries 17 different colors in their Baker’s Twine, with 2 different thicknesses?  That’s a lot of choices!
