Tea Party and Epic Day
Today's card doesn't have anything I'd consider "new" because it's all from the Annual Catalog, but Tea Party stamp set is new to me! I hadn't ordered it yet, and I don't know why. It's so beautiful, and I'm crazy for tea!
- I started out wanting to use the This and That Epic Day designer paper and found this really cool piece that looks like it could maybe be a ring from a tea mug.
- Colors are Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake and Whisper White.
- You'll want the Ovals Collection Framelits to cut out this oval perfectly. I stamped two in two different colors and layered them.
- The three flowers in the Floral Fusion Sizzlits are such a great accent. Here are some other cards where I've used the Floral Fusion Sizzlits accents.
- I also added a Pool Party button from the Subtles Designer Buttons with a Calypso Coral Candy Dot in the center.
- The FInishing Touches Edgelit created the lacy border, and I used Crumb Cake Taffeta Ribbon which ties so nicely.
- Notice the stamping along the right edge? It's a simply tone-on-tone look but adds another stamped element from the Tea Party collection.

Tea Party
Here's a final card I have for you from our team shoebox swap. Designed by Sandy Janshego, this is the perfect balance between simplicity and interesting. Sandy used the Tea Party stamp set and I added the sentiment from Lots of Thanks.
- Using the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig still comes in handy – even with our clear mount stamps. After a couple of attempts to keep the two border stamps straight, I grabbed my trusty tool and they came out just right.
- Adding the paper piercing around the oval really makes it pop! Here I've used the Occasions Paper-Piercing Pack which includes the full set of ovals.
- I love the little Linen Thread bow – it's just the right accessory for this charming card. Don't forget to order Glue Dots!
