Gifts for Hawaii
I just realized that I didn’t show you the fun gift set I received for having earned the trip to Hawaii! My daughter and upline created this gift ensemble for me – it’s it incredible how she matched the packaging when designing the card! And it looks so Hawaiian – which I’m sure was her point!
- The Summer Silhouettes stamp set really packs a punch! There are so many ways to use this beautiful floral stamp set. Here the flowers are stamped on a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut out with the Windows Framelits and Big Shot. WARNING – the Window Framelits are only available for the next few days; they’re due to retire on June 2nd!
- The fun sentiment comes from Bravo – a super nice, large photopolymer set containing lots and lots of congratulatory sayings. Click HERE and HERE to see a couple of other ideas for this stamp set. You can also use it for birthdays.
- Flowers are stamped in Melon Mambo and Blushing Bride inks, with the leaves stamped with Garden Green ink.
- A thin strip of Tempting Turquoise cardstock ties that color in. The key ring has gold and so there is also a strip of Gold Foil Paper added to the card.
I know I’ll continue to use these thoughtful gifts and think of my trip to Hawaii for a very long time!

Stampin’ Up! Convention 2012 Swap
I leave for Convention in Salt Lake City in a little over 3 weeks, so I thought I'd begin making my swaps. I've cut enough to make 100 of the card above, and then I'll design a second card and make 50 or so of those. My new toys are beginning to arrive from the brand new Annual Catalog, and I wasn't sure which new stamp set to use, so I combined three different ones here, plus a new punch! It's not a real easy card for a swap, but I started designing and couldn't stop adding! Do you think my fellow demonstrators will like it?
- Main leaf image and tone-on-tone stamping at the bottom are stamps from Summer Silhouettes stamp set.
- Butterfly image is stamped with Papillon Potpourri stamp set and punched out with Elegant Butterfly Punch.
- Color scheme includes two new In Colors – Gumball Green and Raspberry Ripple. They look so pretty together!
- Black 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon is used to spice things up.
- Rhinestone Jewels are colored black with a Sharpie.
- Black strip separating the two main colors is cut with the Big Shot and the Tasteful Trim Die. It doesn't show a lot, but try taking it out – it just looked yucky without it!
- Birthday sentiment is from the From My Heart stamp set.
- Don't forget the Dimensionals! Both the butterfly and the birthday sentiment are popped up. It makes a big difference!
