Wonderful Wreath and Happy Birthday Everyone
This card came from an idea I had about the Wonderful Wreath Framelits by Stampin’ Up! I wanted to use the pieces to this framelits set to create a summer wreath for a special birthday card.
- The colors I chose are Melon Mambo, Hello Honey, Night of Navy and Old Olive. They’re the colors in the English Garden Designer Paper, minus a couple, but worked really well for the wreath.
- I started by cutting out the wreath base using Old Olive Cardstock with the two wreath framelits – both the inside and the outside pieces. This allows some of the green to peek through so that you don’t have to cut out extra leaves. Here’s a photo of how the wreath begins:
- Cutting out all of the flowers is a breeze with the Framelits. I doubled the cardstock, cutting two at a time, and the framelits cut through both layers nicely. “Scrunching” the cardstock flowers made them a bit more three dimensional.
- The centers of the flowers are created with the 1/4″ Circle Handheld Punch; use a 2-Way Glue Pen to adhere them all.
- A pretty Night of Navy 1/2″ Seam Binding Ribbon is the perfect accent to the wreath, held in place with a Glue Dot.
- My sentiment comes from a host-exclusive stamp set called Happy Birthday, Everyone. Here’s another card using this great set. Choose this stamp set as a free gift when you order a minimum of $150 in products in my Online Store (before tax/shipping).
- And inside the card, I used the “happy birthday” sentiment from the same set stamped in Night of Navy Ink – such a pretty combination of fonts!
And coming your way soon – 201-16 Holiday Catalog shares! I know how much everyone loves to get shares for designer papers, ribbons and accessories once a new catalog begins. The Holiday Catalog is just around the corner – due to launch to my customers on September 1st! I’ll be taking reservations soon for all three types of shares – or get an “I want it all” share with all three.

Hello Love Valentine
Here’s a quick and easy card using just 2 punches and one stamp from Stampin’ Up! It’s definitely a Valentine’s Day kinda card, but it could be used all year long. Who wouldn’t like getting this card in any month!
Not sure where the “hello love” came from? That’s because it’s from a retired hostess set called Good Greetings. Here’s a photo of all the great sentiments contained in this one set.
Since Good Greetings is retired, you can replace the sentiment with something else appropriate that you have. But wait – I just happen to have an extra copy that’s never been used! Leave a comment to this post and let me know which sentiment is your favorite from this set. I’ll do a random drawing from the comments below. Saturday, January 17th, is my birthday, and to celebrate I’ll choose a winner on that day. I’ll announce the winner here on my blog, so be sure to leave a comment now then check back on the 17th to see if you’ve won!
Now on to telling you about my card. Color scheme is Blackberry Bliss, Tangerine Tango and So Saffron – these colors work so well with each other, even though they aren’t in the same color collection!
- Begin creating the circle heart images by using the heart punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. Punch into the cardstock then using the 1″ Circle Punch, punch around the heart. It’s much easier in this order!
- Save out one of the punched hearts and pop it up on a Dimensional next to the sentiment.
- A little Tangerine Tango Baker’s Twine is all the accessory you need with this fun layout.
Enjoy creating your own card and have fun playing with different color schemes. This is a non-traditional Valentine’s Day color combo and if you’d prefer, you can try it in pinks and reds, maybe with some black.

Bravo for Paws!
My youngest grandson is turning 5! I can’t believe how these years have flown! He’s a huge fan of Paw Patrol and his mom has themed his birthday party around it. So it was off to my stampin’ studio to figure out how to translate that theme into a card.
- “Wow” kinda summed up my disbelief that he’s turning 5, so I pulled out the Bravo stamp set. It’s also a little cheesy but I kept thinking “wow wow” for “bow wow” – I know it’s a stretch!
- The paw is made with the Hearts Thinlits and Sm. Oval Punch. I popped them up on Dimensionals for more of a 3D effect.
- My color scheme replicated “Chase” who looks like this (for those of you without a 5-year-old boy)! Guess I maybe should have used Chocolate Chip instead of Basic Black!
- The Star Embossing Folder created the fun background on the Crushed Curry cardstock.
- A fun accent for a young boy is the black and white Baker’s Twine. Not much else needed!
Here’s my little sweetie – happy 5th birthday, Jackson!

Thomas the Tank Engine’s Happy Birthday
Grandson Liam's birthday was Saturday, and like most 3-year-old boys, he loves Thomas the Train! This card, designed by Stampin' Up! demonstrator Pixie Elletson, was a must! I added a few touches to make it my own, but basically followed her measurements for this terrific punch art idea.
Needless to say, it ended up being quite a large card. I designed the track to fold forward and lie on the table when the card is standing. Two hearts punched from Whisper White card stock and the Full Heart Punch serve as Thomas's smoke. The Square Lattice Textured Impressions Folder for the Big Shot added some interest, and I found a piece of chipboard from a long-ago On Board Chipboard set to serve as the No. 3 on the front of the engine. I colored it with Brilliant Blue Craft Ink, layered on some Clear Embossing Powder and used the Heat Tool to set it. Inside I wrote a very corny saying, but perfect for this adorable card — "Chugga-chugga choo choo. Happy Birthday to You!"
Here's the birthday boy enjoying helping the entire family put up a new play set in his back yard, a gift from his mom and dad.
Some of the wonderful colors used to create Thomas are retiring. Get your Brilliant Blue, Summer Sun, Bordering Blue and Creamy Caramel card stocks before they're gone forever!

Congrats Cards
Thanks to all my wonderful customers for a terrific sales month in March! With all the exciting choices this year, everyone was thrilled to earn free Sale-A-Bration products! I placed No. 1 in sales on my team, The Heartfelt Stampers, and in the Top 10 of my "upline's upline's" group, The Gladheart Stampers. Here are two congrats cards I received:
This darling card was made by Missy Shipman. Don't you just love the punch art owl? So clever!
This one's from Aly Schilling. I love her use of the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder on the So Saffron textured card stock for the star. The sentiment comes from the Level 1 hostess stamp set found in the Occasions Mini Catalog called Picture This.
