Retro Fresh Journaling Tags for Cards
Here’s a simply, no-stamping card made with some of the products in the Retro Fresh collection – the Retro Fresh This and That Washi Tape and the Journaling Tags. I did add a strip of Crumb Cake Washi Tape from the Epic Day trio because I needed 4 different tapes.
If you were like me and didn’t give these little cards much attention, now’s the time! They are in the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog and are just $4.95 for 1 each of 32 designs in 3 different sizes. And while I was planning this card, I realized (you’ll say duh, Kriss!) that these Journaling Tags are also perfect for the new Project Life line of products that Stampin’ Up! is now carrying. The 3″x4″ cards will fit perfectly into the Project Life page protector pockets. You’ll take the 3″x3″ Retro Fresh cards and back them with cardstock measuring 4″x4″ and they’re ready to slip in, too!
Here’s what a few of them look like. Remember, you get 32 designs!
This card went together in a snap.
- I used a So Saffron cardstock base and began my design on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.
- Simply lay on the Washi Tape in whatever pattern suits you then fold the edges around the corners to the back of the cardstock.
- I trimmed down the “high 5” card ever so slightly so that more of the Washi Tape was visible.
- I added a So Saffron Candy Dot from the Subtles Candy Dots packet to the top of the arrow then mounted the “high 5” card onto the front with Dimensionals.
- I repeated using the Dimensionals to place the card front on the card base so there was a little more raised up on my card.
