A Special Thank You
Here's a card I made a special hostess who worked hard to hold a workshop that totaled over $1300! I know – can you believe it? My color scheme is Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry and So Saffron. I thought it created a really regal effect – without the Regal Collection! Stamp set is Three Little Words and is available FREE with a $50 purchase this month only! Check out the Sale-A-Bration Special HERE for details. I began the design process wanting to use some of my Presto Patterns Specialty Designer Series Paper, noticed this beautiful pattern and remembered that it would coordinate with the "T" in "Three". Have you worked with this gorgeous paper pack? When you receive it, it looks to be just white with white glossy designs, but you reveal the pattern with ink or paint for an emboss resist look! Simply stunning and so much fun! The great thing about it is you don't have to decide ahead of time which color paper you want. Just wait until you're ready to create and turn it any color you want! I used a Sponge Dauber and Rich Razzleberry Classic Stamp Pad to apply the color, then sprayed it with a squirt of Gold Glow Smooch Spritz. Don't forget your Color Catcher – this process is a bit messy and you wouldn't want to spray it on your craft table! The flower image is stamped in Black StazOn Ink then colored in with the same Rich Razzleberry stamp pad and a Blender Pen. Some Rich Razzleberry Satin Ribbon adds to the elegance.

Congratulations to My Team Members – June
A sincere "From the Heart Stampers" congratulations goes out the top three sales people on my team for the month of June! They are:
Pam Kane
Ruth Petrovich
and
Lanette Swarthout
Great job, ladies!
Here's the card I designed especially for them:
Oh, you are so going to LOVE working with Marina Mist – a fabulous new blue in the Subtles Collection! Paired here with Certainly Celery, it is so elegant! I began my card with a base of Marina Mist card stock. The next layer is a piece of Presto Patterns Specialty Designer Series Paper. I rubbed on Certainly Celery Classic Ink then spritzed on some Silver Foil Smooch Spritz. The Presto paper is white and glossy, and the designs are revealed when you add color to the paper. This way, you can have any color you want! Use Smooch Spritz, Aqua Painters, Brayers, Sponge Daubers or Stamp Pads to create a fabulous color scheme of your choice! A piece of Whisper White 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon is wrapped around that layer and tied in a bow before being adhered to the card base. Next comes the main image – a beautiful hydrangea image from a brand new stamp set called Because I Care. It's a Level 1 Hostess stamp set in the new 2010-11 Idea Book & Catalog, so you'll want to be sure to host a workshop totaling at least $150 or place your order of the same amount as soon as possible! I added a piece of Marina Mist card stock that had been punched along the bottom using the Eyelet Border Punch. The "for you" sentiment is from Great Friends stamp set. The main image is adhered to the card using Dimensionals.
I'm having fun doing a little decorating inside my cards. Give it a try — it really adds the personal touch!

Presto Patterns and some New Colors!
Ruth Petrovich joined my team of Stampin' Up! demonstrators in February and has already earned the Supervisor title! She's a wonderful, caring woman and I truly believe that her success comes from her love of Stampin' Up! products as well as her love for her customers. I made this card especially for her.
I'm afraid I'm going to have to eat my words! When I was first introduced to the brand new In Colors for 2010-12, I took one look at Concord Grape and said, "Well, I'll NEVER use that color!" Here I am – designing one of my first cards with the new colors and look what I chose! It just works so well with all the other colors in the new palette! The other colors are also brand new – Pear Pizzazz is another new In Color and Daffodil Delight, a new Core Color in the Bolds Collection. So you may have caught that the In Colors are now going to be with us for two years instead of one! Such a great change! Let's take a look at how I made this card. The card base measures 5-1/4"x5-1/4". I used a piece of Presto Patterns Specialty Designer Series Paper and dyed it with a Daffodil Delight Classic Stamp Pad. Next I inked up this pretty little flower stamp from Charming stamp set with my Stampin' Write Markers (there are markers in the new In Colors!) and stamped three times on Whisper White card stock cut to 1-1/4" squares quickly and efficiently with my 1-1/4" Square Punch then backed them with Pear Pizzazz card stock cut just a smidge bigger. "From the Heart" is a stamp from Watercolor Trio and I'm especially fond of it because my team is called From the Heart Stampers! It's so easy to punch out with the Designer Label Punch and slip it into a frame from the Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware using a Two-Way Glue Pen. I added some Whisper White Organza Ribbon and a punched border using Pear Pizzazz card stock with the Border Scallop Trim Punch. Don't forget to add a little envelope art!
Add a white liner to the inside of dark card stock and while you're at it, decorate the inside just a bit, too.

Smooch Spritz Spray Tips
Here's a wonderful card my daughter Aly made me for Mother's Day.
Aly used the new Presto Patterns Specialty Designer Series Paper along with Smooch Spritz, which is a pearlized accent spray. Some Chocolate Chip 5/8" Satin Ribbon, a fabric flower from the Pretties Kit and a Filigree Designer Brad all work so nicely together. The Filigree Brads can be yours free this month by purchasing any qualifying stamp set listed HERE as part of the May Scrapbooking special promotion.
To help you get the best results with Smooch Spritz, here are a couple of suggestions:
- Before each use, shake vigorously until the particles are fully mixed. The sprayer can become clogged if particles get sucked up into the tube.
- Spray in the direction of the arrow on the nozzle top. For best results, spray six to ten inches from your project. For a heavier application of color, spray closer to the project.
- The Smooch Spritz bottles are made of glass. Place the bottles on a towel or cloth to prevent them from rolling and possibly breaking.
- If the ink dries outside of the nozzle, remove the nozzle and submerge it in a household cleaner (such as Windex or 409) for 20 minutes. Rinse, replace the nozzle, shake well, and spray.
