“Tweet” Animal Talk
Today I thought I'd combine a couple of older products with newer ones. I find when you do this, you get such a different look! I noticed I hadn't used my Natural Composition Designer Paper in a while, and when I saw this terrific woodgrain piece, I knew I had to pair it with something springy. Here in Centeral New York, it's 5 degrees as I type this and we just got quite a bit more snow overnight, so I'm really trying to think Spring!
- Color is such an interesting thing! In fact, it's really what brought me to stamping. I just love the interplay of colors and how some "work" and some don't. I started this card with Marina Mist and Daffodil Delight and it just wasn't right. Switched it up to Soft Sky and Summer Starfruit and voila – the perfect feel!
- Corner rounding has always been one of my favorite accents, and now with the help of the Envelope Punch Board, I have perfectly rounded corners every time. At just $19.95, this is going to be your "go to" tool – for something as basic as corner rounding and for making all sorts of coordinating envelopes for your beautiful cards.
- The main image stamp is from Animal Talk stamp set, and I've used markers to ink up the image and stamp on a Whisper White cardstock circle cut with the Circle Framelits. This wonderful collection of circles is also a real must in your collection. With 10 different layering pieces, you're sure to have just the right size. Be sure to grab Dimensionals for your circle to give it a little lift.
- The Natural Chevron Ribbon is the perfect embellishment for this card – nice and natural to go with our bird theme.
- Don't know what I'm going to do without Summer Starfruit come June when it retires! It's been the missing color in our palette for me! I do hope it returns one day, but for now, I'm using it as much as I can! Here I've used the new Petite Petals Punch along with a Dahlia to create the floral accent. Glue Dots are the best way to adhere the Dahlias to cardstock.
