NEW Thinlits Card Dies

Leaf PopUp

I had a few minutes today to play with the new Thinlits Card Dies – wow, they are so much fun and so addicting!  I know you'll be seeing lots of these cards in the future!  And you can't believe how easy this card was to make with the help of the Thinlits!  You can left click on any of the photos for a better look.

  • My card starts out with a Sahara Sand cardstock base.  Just use the Thinlits Card Die with the Big Shot, and the base is cut out and scored for you in one step.
  • The Sweater Weather Designer Series Paper was easy to cut exactly to the front left of the card – I just used the Thinlits Card Die again with the edge of the designer paper at the fold of the card.
  • The Chocolate Chip cardstock circles are cut with the Circles Collection Framelits, and the Whisper White cardstock scallop circle was cut with a piece from the Thinlits Card Dies – you get 9 additional dies (ten in all) included in the die collection.
  • The Magnificent Maple single stamp is one of my favorites from the Holiday Catalog.  Here I've inked up the stamp in Crushed Curry ink, then used a Sponge Dauber and Pumpkin Pie ink to dab the edges of the rubber stamp before stamping on the paper.

Here is the card opened up:

  • Both sentiments come from Lots of Thanks stamp set – a must have!  Speckles on the inner circle are created with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set – another must have!  Both of these sets will serve your cardmaking well for a very long time.
  • Did you notice I was able to emboss the upper right side of the card base?  I just slid in my Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder sideways and under the cut portion of the inside circle.  Worked just fine!
  • The only little accessory needed is a Chocolate Chip Candy Dot set in a Candy Dot Base.  There's already plenty going on!

Another Note Card Idea for Fall

Fall Leaves

The days are already getting cooler here in Central New York, and the Halloween candy is appearing on the grocery shelves!  I'm starting to feel in the mood for creating for a different season and using all of my new products from the Holiday Catalog.  Here's a quick and easy note card that features two new stamp sets – Magnificent Maple single stamp and Lots of Thanks.  I've used Raspberry Ripple, Old Olive, Crushed Curry and Baked Brown Sugar stamp pads, but really, any fall colors would be beautiful.  I stamped on a separate piece of Whisper White cardstock, then used Dimensionals to raise it up before adhering to the Note Card.  I think this added step makes a simple card look much more elegant.  Make up a quick little pile of them to say thank you to those special people in your life!
