Love & Affection with Playful Palette – FINAL day to order retiring products
This is a terrific card layout to show off Stampin’ Up!’s pretty new designer paper. This packet is called Playful Palette and contains 3 of the 5 new 2016-18 In Colors. Featured here is Peekaboo Peach. I love how this pretty color pairs with Old Olive and Basic Black.
- I’ve also used the brand new stamp set called Love & Affection to stamp the flower and sentiment. I’ve stamped the flower in Basic Black Ink on Watercolor Paper and used an Aqua Painter and Peekaboo Peach stamp pad to color in the image. Then I added the leaves stamped in Old Olive.
- The center of the flower is a medium Perfect White Accent colored in with a black Sharpie. Just be sure to color it in off the card and let it dry before moving it to the card front.
- I created the circles by punching the Watercolor Paper with the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch and then the Basic Black Cardstock is cut with the Circle Framelits. This way, I could get just a very thin border of black.
Here’s a tip when you need a punched or die-cut piece of cardstock and you’re using that color as a background, too. Don’t waste a separate piece of cardstock – just die cut out of the center of the layering piece. No one will ever know! Here’s what I mean:

You could really have some fun by repeating this card layout with lots of different patterns of designer paper. Change up the sentiment, too, to what you currently need.

Old Olive card base: 4-1/4″ x 11″
Basic Black and DSP layers both: 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″
Sentiment banner: 3/4″ x 3-1/4″
