Happy Birthdays with Hello You Thinlits
I’ve always maintained that a good, solid layout and some pretty designer paper is just about all you need to create a beautiful card! I had quite a few birthdays to get ready for this month, and so I thought I’d see how this great layout translated to some of my favorite papers and color schemes. All the cards use the Hello You Thinlits with the Big Shot to cut out the script “happy” and Four You stamp set for the “Birthday” stamp.
On the card above, I’ve paired my basics with the Stacked with Love Designer Paper Stack. “happy” is cut out using Silver Foil Paper, and “Birthday” is heat embossed using Silver Embossing Powder. Hearts come from the Heart Border Punch punched out in Calypso Coral cardstock. Be sure to pop up the “Birthday” sentiment on Dimensionals.
For this card, I used Birthday Bash Designer Paper, Night of Navy cardstock for the “happy” and white embossing powder on the Night of Navy cardstock for “Birthday”. Three Calypso Coral Candy Dots are my accent in the corner.
This card uses the Spring Flowers Embossing Folder and Big Shot on the Wild Wasabi cardstock and for the tulip print, a piece from Painted Blooms Designer Paper. Both the “happy” cardstock and the ink for stamping “Birthday” are Blackberry Bliss. Candy Dots are from the same Subtles package as those from the above card – I used Soft Sky ones this time.
