A Tie-Dyed Thank You
I owe this card idea to fellow demonstrator Missy Shipman who had the idea of taking the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and doing some tie dying with it. This is so fun and can be done in any colors you choose. For my card, I picked Old Olive, Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise and Rich Razzleberry – all from the Brights Collection colors.
Start out by creating your own stamp pad. I used an old-style stamp set case, but you can use anything that won’t soak through the bottom like a styrofoam meat tray or plate. Lay a baby wipe on the bottom of the surface, then squeeze 5-6 drops of Ink Refills onto the baby wipe. As you are adding colors, try to fill in so that there aren’t any white spots in between the ink refill dots. It’ll look something like this:
Then just dip your stamp into the ink without moving it around. Stamp down on the “ink pad” you’ve created, then stamp onto your cardstock. Clean your stamp before placing it back into the “ink pad” or the colors will become muddy.
I added a thank you greeting from Another Thank You photopolymer stamp set and I’m done! Easy but very fun and effective!
My card is 4″x4″, so I used my Envelope Punch Board to create the perfect-sized envelope for my card. I wanted to create a matching inner flap, so I used a long post-it note at the fold line to keep the stamping just on the flap.
This would be a great card to make duplicates of. They go so quickly and are such a wow!

Retro Fresh Thank You
I'm having so much fun with Stampin' Up!'s Circle Mongram Stamps. Create address labels, a stamp for the back of your handmade cards, personalize gifts and goodies and more! They're easy to design – I've made and ordered three so far. This one is for creating thank you cards and stamping on the envelopes as well.
My card started with a fun sketch from one of my team members. We have a weekly sketch challenge on our Team Facebook page, and this is the one posted for last week:
It's the first place I start when designing a card – I've just got to have a good sketch! See how easy it is to just plug in your images and supplies!
- This layout drew me to the Retro Fresh This and That Washi Tape. It almost looks just like it! That built the basis for my color scheme, but I did decide to soften the look by using Pool Party cardstock and ink. It matches and is a little softer look.
- Next element was that I wanted to show off my new personalized Circle Monogram Stamp. I've already ordered three different ones – they're really addicting! And they're so easy to create! Just enter the item code 132852 in my online store and up pops a screen where you can design what you want in the different locations on the stamp. Choose to create a personalized stamp for the backs of your cards, an address stamp or whatever you can think of! I've done a "hand cancel" stamp for my precious hand-stamped cards. I've also designed one to congratulate my team members for their achievements.
- Gorgeous Grunge seems to be my "go to" stamp set these days when I need a little something extra on my card. Here are all the wonderful images you get in this set.
- Lots of Stampin' Up! circle punches made this card a snap! My favorite corner rounder of all time is the one built into the Envelope Punch Board – two tools for the price of one!
- A cute Naturals Button and some Linen Thread complete my quick and easy card.
