Hexagon Hive Thank You
I'm in LOVE with the new Hexagon Hive Thinlit! The possibilities are endless with this great new tool in the Occasions Catalog. I'm thinking of a plan for all of the Very Vanilla hexagons that were cut out of this card!
- HELPING HINT: When creating your "sandwich" for the Big Shot, use the platform, then your cutting pad, then your cardstock, then a piece of waxed paper, then the die, then your last cutting pad. By putting in the waxed paper, your cardstock will pop right out.
- Black and Vanilla are such a classic look and the Modern Medley Designer Paper is just that – all prints in black and vanilla which are so usable! I love the little pop of color – Strawberry Slush for the flowers and Pool Party for the butterflies.
- The flower comes from two wonderful coordinating products – Flower Shop stamp set and Pansy Punch. I just stamped two then used a Dimensional between them to add a nice focal point.
- Center of the flower is a Basic Metal Button, also from the Occasions Catalog, with Pool Party Twine in the center. This, along with many other products, can be yours during Sale-A-Bration completely free with a qualifying order! And don't forget your Glue Dots to hold the button in place.
- Butterflies come from the Beautiful Wings Embosslit. This isn't a new product, but I continue to use it over and over. This great tool die cuts and embosses the butterflies with one pass through the Big Shot.
- Sentiment comes from Six-Sided Sampler stamp set – there are three that would work on the Hexagon Hive cardstock.

More Heartfelt Stampers Shoebox Swaps
Here are some more swaps I made during our recent Heartfelt Stampers Team weekend retreat. I shared some other swaps in an earlier post here. We had a color theme – everyone chose one Stampin' Up! color to feature in their card, so we had several monochromatic ones.
Crisp Cantaloupe pairs so beautifully with Calypso Coral. And the Wildflower Meadows stamp and embossing folder are so much fun to work with together.
Flower Shop has been a super popular seller with its coordinating punch Pansy Punch. And it looks stunning using Coastal Cabana – so soft and pretty!
Lots of lovely shades of purple in this card! The card base is Perfect Plum, a color I don't use often, but it looks so nice paired with Eggplant Envy and Wisteria Wonder. And of course the Six-Sided Sampler stamp set with coordinating Hexagon Punch always gives "wow" results!
Too Kind is one of my favorite two-step stamp sets we've ever had. It's very affordable at just $14.95 for clear, and I just love the effect you get with stamping the flowers in two different colors. Here the base of the card is Primrose Petal with pretty additions of Pink Pirouette and Pear Pizzazz.

Guest Designer – Lanette Swarthout
Here's a beauty made by team member Lanette Swarthout for our shoebox swap event. I love her color scheme and the use of the new Pansy Punch for both the stamped flowers and the designer paper flowers. Change up the sentiment, and it would be a great card for any occasion – especially get well or sympathy. Don't forget to use Dimensionals to pop up some of the flowers. Here, Lanette popped up the stamped images from Flower Shop stamp set and left the designer paper flowers flat against the card. Her gorgeous color scheme is Chocolate Chip, Soft Sky and Crushed Curry – yum! Centers of the flowers are created with the Boho Blossoms Punch along with Chocolate Chip cardstock and a Rhinestone in the center.
