Happy Retirement for Peg

My husband has worked for years with a wonderful woman who is retiring, and we attended her retirement party Friday evening. I knew this card had to be special! I've never seen Peg in any other color but red and she always looks like a million bucks. I think this card suits her well!

This card measures 5-1/4"x5-1/4" and begins with Basic Black card stock with Barely Banana card stock for the next layer, run through the Big Shot with the Finial Press Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The embossing folder is only 4-1/4" wide, so I added a strip of Whisper White card stock punched with the Eyelet Border Punch and decorated with some Real Red 5/8" Satin Ribbon and a large half-back pearl from the Pretties Kit. I stamped the sentiment from Well Scripted stamp set, and then I remembered that it's not available right now! I sure hope this one makes it into the new Idea Book & Catalog in July! The main stamped image is from Flower Fancy. I stamped it in Basic Gray then in Real Red Classic Ink then applied a thick coating of Crystal Effects. I pushed 3 small half-back pearls into the center and let it dry for at least a couple of hours.

I don't usually decorate the inside of my cards, but I thought this very special occasion warranted the time.
