Feminine Thank You

Here's a pretty little thank you I made a while ago and didn't post.  There aren't new products on the card, but it really showcases a lot of "tried and true" products that Stampin' Up! carries.  I started with a base of Whisper White card stock, then added a layer of Peach Parfait.  The center strips are Baja Breeze and Pear Pizzazz.  The Eyelet Border Punch and Whisper White card stock frame the center piece nicely.  I cut an oval from the Ovals Originals Die using the Big Shot die-cutting machine and stamped with Elements of Style stamp set in Pear Pizzaz Classic Ink.  The blossoms are made with one of the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and are held on with Gold Brads.  The sentiment comes from Curly Cute and is stamped in Early Espresso Classic Ink.

Flower Garden Embossing Folder

Here's my first card from the new Summer Mini Catalog!  And of course I'd choose the brand new Textured Impressions Embossing Folder called Flower Garden!  I love the deep, rich embossed image that Stampin' Up! embossing folders give.  My card begins with a Whisper White card stock base.  I used Poppy Parade card stock with Flower Garden, then added a border of Daffodil Delight card stock punched with the Eyelet Border Punch and a small 1/4" strip of Wild Wasabi card stock for a little pop.  The butterflies are stamped in Poppy Parade and Daffodil Delight Classic Inks using the image from Flight of the Butterfly.  This is a great stamp set to pair with Flower Garden!  The sentiment comes from Curly Cute and is stamped in Early Espresso Classic ink on Whisper White card stock, then snipped into a banner with my Paper Snips and adhered with Dimensionals.

Simple Scalloped Square

Here's an idea for a simple thank you card.  You can make lots of these if you need thank yous for a big occasion, and they'll be done in a snap but still look fabulous.  Just begin by choosing a designer series paper package – the first card uses the Level 1 Hostess In Color Designer Series Paper Pack (earn this free for hosting a qualifying private stamping class!) and the second uses Elegant Soiree Designer Series Paper.  It's easy to plan your card stock and ink colors – just take your palette from the designer paper of your choice!  Grab the Scallop Square Punch and punch out 5 different designs from the paper pack.  Remember, each piece of designer paper has 2 sides, so you have 12 choices in prints!  Adhere these squares with Dimensionals, then add a thank you sentiment.  I used Curly Cute and inked the two words up separately using a Stampin' Write Marker so I could stamp them on two lines instead of just one.  You can add a snip of ribbon like I did in the first card or leave it off as in the second.  Add some Jewels, either Basic Rhinestones or Basic Pearls, and you're done!

Flower Fancy and Curly Cute

You know that game where you say "If you were stranded on a desert island . . ."?  Well, this card is my version of "If you could only have one image stamp set and one greeting stamp set from the catalog, which ones would you choose?"  Hands down, I choose Flower Fancy — it's the perfect stamp set!  I love that it's two-step stamping and it's so versatile!  And I'm totally lovin' the font in Curly Cute!  Simply gorgeous!  The color scheme is Basic Gray, Tempting Turquoise, Rose Red and Old Olive.  The polka dot designer paper is from Island Oasis Designer Series Paper in the Summer Mini Catalog and is only available through August 31st.  The background gets some added interest using the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine and Perfect Polka Dots Textured Embossing Folder.  And my favorite ribbon?  That would be the 3/8" Taffeta  — on this card Old Olive.  If you're interested in a ribbon that ties PERFECTLY all the time, this is the one to buy!  Try a RIBBON SHARE of the 3/8" Taffeta found HERE!  Old Olive Brads from the Brights Brads collection make the centers of these pretty flowers pop!  And don't forget to use Dimensionals.  Raise the flowers off the front just a tad for added interest.

Subtles Collection Card and MDS Color Update

Here's a card designed by Phyl Lyons highlighting the new Subtles Collection colors.  Don't they look gorgeous!  It really shows you how much in need of an update these colors were!  From left to right the new Subtles Collection incudes: Perfect Plum, Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Wild Wasabi, Bashful Blue, Baja Breeze and Marina Mist.  Phyl showcased this great collection on a background using Early Espresso card stock (new to the Neutrals Collection palette) and the Big Shot using the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I added a sentiment using one of my favorite new stamp sets in the catalog, Curly Cute.  This stamp set is on the "must have" list for all stampers!
