Jot a quick note
I'm forever jotting quick little notes to people and have decided it's just a sin not to jazz them up a bit. After all, I certainly have the supplies with which to do it! These aren't cards – they're just one-sided note paper but with a bit of panache!
- Start the process by choosing your favorite Designer Series Paper (DSP). I chose I Am Me DSP for the So Saffron card and got my Black and Vanilla from two different packets. The chevron comes from the new Witches' Brew DSP in the Holiday Catalog, and the polka dot is from Modern Medley DSP. This is a terrific way to use up scraps!
- Cut an 8-1/2"x11" piece of cardstock into quarters. Top layer should be either Whisper White or Very Vanilla or some other light color so you can write on it.
- Add a piece of DSP at the bottom, along with a flower punched out with the Pansy Punch.
- Add a stamped initial to personalize. I realized after I did this that my initial stamp isn't current any longer. I'm off to order a new one using Casual Monogram Stamp found on pg. 135 of the Annual Catalog . . . or maybe I'll order the Decorative Label Monogram Stamp . . . or maybe I'll just have to get both! Or choose one of our wonderful alphabet sets.

I love the classic look of black and vanilla with a touch of Melon Mambo!
I ran out of the DSP and had all of the other pieces cut and ready to go. Luckily, I was able to grab some more black & vanilla from a different grouping.
I'm so thankful that Stampin' Up! takes color coordination seriously. All three of my solid cardstocks match perfectly with the DSP and the Real Red ink. Which one do you prefer?
