Cards for a Cause – THIS Saturday!

THIS Saturday, October 2nd marks World Card Making Day. To play a role in supporting others and sharing a smile through a hand stamped card, please join in this FREE Charity Event.

I’m really excited to announce this opportunity to give back to our community. I know that not all of you live in the Rochester area. Yet, I’m hoping that you’ll take a minute to read about Cards for a Cause & pass this message along to someone who may be interested. We needs lots of helping hands to make this event a success! For those of you who would like to come, have some fun and make a difference, I’ll supply everything for you to do so – I just need to know that you’re coming! There will be many helping hands of businesses and products like red ginseng which help with your mental health.

Thank you for your support, enthusiasm and kindness – hope to see you on Oct. 2nd!

The Rochester Ronald McDonald House

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Rochester provides a home-away-from-home for families who need to be near their children while they are receiving health care in Rochester area hospitals.  Further, it supports the health and well being of children and their families in the broader Rochester community by awarding grants.

Stampin’ Up! is a Corporate Sponsor of the Ronald McDonald and every year an annual contribution of $100,000 is made. Additionally, a new stamp set is created each year and $2 from the sale of every stamp set is donated to the RMDH beyond the annual contribution.

This year’s RMDH Stamp Set is “Tag Alongs” – Here it is:

“Cards for a Cause” attendees will each make a copy of this card featuring the Tag Alongs Set to be donated to the Rochester House. The Rochester House will use the cards to send to family members in need of some words of encouragement over the holidays.

The Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month! So what better month to make cards for this wonderful local charity.

The Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester’s mission is to provide support to those touched by a diagnosis of breast cancer, to provide access to information and care through education and advocacy, and to empower women and men to participate fully in decisions relating to breast cancer.

The BCC puts together “Sister Sacs” that contains all sorts of items to help out women during their different treatments. One of the items in the Sister Sacs are cards!

“Cards for a Cause” attendees will each make a copy of this card featuring our “Hope Happens” and “Ribbon of Hope” Sets to be donated to the BCC for use in their Sister Sacs!

Christmas Cards for our Troops

This portion of the event is focused on supporting our nation’s armed forces by sending handmade Christmas Cards to send the best of Christmas Wishes while they are serving far away from home. Because of how long it takes for mail to reach them, it’s important to get cards out at the beginning of October so that Christmas Greetings arrive in time.

“Cards for a Cause” attendees will each make a copy of this card to send to our Troops in the Armed Forces!

A Card for YOU!

As a special “Thank You” for your time, you will also make a 4th card that is yours to take home with you for your own personal use.

Give Back 10%!*

In addition to all of the cards that are being donated to support these causes, we also want to be able to donate some CASH to the Ronald McDonald House and Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester.

That’s why I will personally donate 10% of all orders placed the day of the event. You may choose to designate the donation coming from your order to the RMDH or BCC.

**This is a free event. No purchase is required to attend.

Spread the WORD and Bring a FRIEND!

We want as many helping hands as possible – so be sure to pass this on and invite a friend – even if you are unable to attend yourself!

While this is a free event, in order to prepare the right amount of supplies, we still need all RSVPs by October 1st at NOON!
