Congratulations to my Team Members – October

A sincere "From the Heart Stampers" congratulations goes out the top three sales people on my team for the month of October! They are:

Sheila Edwards
Ruth Petrovich
and
Pam Kane

Great job, ladies!

And here's the special card I made them:

This technique is called Window Sheet Magic, using the Autumn Days stamp set.  First, stamp your image (in this case, the pheasant from that set) on a Window Sheet with Black StazOn Ink.  Scribble Crystal Effects on the unstamped side of the Window Sheet.  Add a few drops of Classic Reinker of your color choice (I use Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Soft Suede).  Don't use too much or it'll be really messy!  Next add a little Dazzling Diamonds Glitter then a slightly larger piece of tissue paper to the back.  Attach the tissue paper to a piece of neutral card stock and let it dry, then cut down the excess on the edges.  Notice the shimmer also in the background paper?  It's from Sweet & Sour Specialty Designer Series Paper!  The "gratitude" stamp comes from Fabulous Phrases punched out using the Curly Label Punch.  Add some doodling with a Soft Suede Stampin' Write Marker and a couple of Gold Brads for interest.

Fall is here!

Well, maybe it’s more like winter!  It snowed at my house last night!  The colors are at their peak here in the Finger Lakes, and this card reminds me of all the beauty that surround me.  I just got the Movers & Shapers Curly Label Die and was looking forward to using it, when I had the idea of having the pheasant from Autumn Days stamp set peek out the window.  I used a piece of More Mustard card stock measuring 4-1/4"x11" and ran it through the Big Shot with the die, which cut and scored my card, as well as cut the window, all in one movement.  Pretty slick, huh?!  I used the Sanded Background stamp with More Mustard Classic Ink to create the textured look on the base of the card, then wrapped some Elegant Eggplant 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon around the card and tied on an extra piece of the same ribbon in Always Artichoke.  The leaf paper comes from Autumn Traditions Designer Series Paper and is backed with a torn piece of Ruby Red card stock.  On top is a Styled Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware piece with a stamped leaf image from Autumn Days on Always Artichoke card stock.  I used the Vintage Brads to hold the piece in place.  To create the pheasant, I colored direct to the rubber stamp with markers in the colors that matched the designer paper–More Mustard, Always Artichoke, Elegant Eggplant, Ruby Red, and a bit of Soft Suede for the feet.  I’m sure you want to see his whole body, so we’ll take a look inside:

Isn’t he gorgeous!  I loved how he turned out using all the different colors!  The sentiment is from Falling Leaves stamp set and is stamped in Soft Suede.
