Candy Cane Lane Anniversary

The Candy Cane Lane Suite from Stampin’ Up!’s Holiday Catalog isn’t just for Christmas cards! I’ve made a pretty anniversary card using the DSP and coordinating ribbon, plus Totally Trees stamp set. I made several of these cards for my team members who are celebrating an anniversary this month with Stampin’ Up!, but of course, it would also work for a winter wedding anniversary.
- I started out by stamping the tree image from Totally Trees on Whisper White Cardstock that was cut out with the Lots of Labels Framelit and the Big Shot. I used Early Espresso ink and staggered the trees.
- A piece of Silver Doily makes an interesting accent peeking out from under the label!
- Happy Anniversary is from the Best Birds stamp set. I cut the ends of the Real Red Cardstock at different angles just for something different.
- The Designer Paper Strip measures 1″ x 5-1/2″ so that it hangs over the Crumb Cake Cardstock background and onto the Whisper White card base.
- Take a length of the Real Red 3/4″ Stitched Edge Ribbon, fold it up on itself just a bit, and staple in place before mounting the label/tree piece.

World of Dreams
This card really shows off the beautiful All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack – perfect designer paper for card makers since it’s 4-1/2″ x 6-1/2″ and just $6.95 for 48 sheets! I’ve made a card HERE using the same All Abloom paper but a different sheet from the stack.
- This pretty silhouette image comes from World of Dreams stamp set. This stamp set comes with a couple of terrific sentiments, but they took up too much space on my tag. So I turned to what is sure to be everyone’s “go to” sentiment stamp set this year – And Many More. There are 23 different sentiments all in this perfect set for $26.95 in clear. And I love the “happy together” with the two birds on their nest – perfect for an anniversary card.
- I believe this is my first card using the yummy new 1/4″ Cotton Ribbon. Stampin’ Up! added so many new ribbons this year, and this is my very favorite. It’s so nice and soft and comes in 12 different colors. Would you like to receive a little of every color? Then my Ribbon Share is for you! You’ll get 2 yds. of all 12 colors for just $17.25. While you’re at it, pick up a share of the new Thick Baker’s Twine (shown here in Strawberry Slush) in all of the 2013-15 In Colors – 2 yds. each of 5 colors plus 3 yds of each of the 7 new colors of the regular Baker’s Twine, all for just $6.25. - Did anyone catch my mistake on this card? I used the Scallop Trim Border Punch for the Daffodil Delight cardstock between the two designer papers, and when I went to look up the item code for that particular product, I realized that it had retired! I’ll have to find another favorite border punch to use in the future, but I couldn’t “waste” the opportunity to share my card with you!
- A couple of sweet little Rhinestones finish off the hearts for this quick card. I hope you liked seeing these two new stamp sets paired together!
