Something to Say and I Like You
I have a quick & Easy card for you today – something you can create in just a few minutes, but I think it packs a punch! Unfortunately, there are many times these encouraging words could be a comfort to those around you – sympathy, illness, any of life’s challenges.
- I’ve combined three stamp sets – Something to Say for the beautiful sentiment, I Like You (a hostess-exclusive stamp set) and Party Pennants, a stamp fro the July 2013 Paper Pumpkin kit for the Old Olive background behind the sentiment.
- I know you’re waiting patiently (or not!) for the release of the Stampin’ Up! Blendabilities Markers! Let me tell you, they’re worth the wait! There’s never been an easier way to color in images! I used Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Coastal Cabana and Daffodil Delight to color in my pretty flower image. I created another card using the same stamp and color scheme HERE. Word on the street is that they should be available later in June or possibly into July, so sit tight – they’re coming!

New Hostess Stamp Set – I Like You
Just wait until you see the brand new hostess sets in the 2014 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog! In my opinion, they’re the best we’ve ever had! If you’re a local customers, why not book a workshop to earn this new stamp set and more! For my long-distance customers, get together a friend or two and put together your own online workshop. You’ll be able to choose hostess-exclusive products, or any products you’d like, when your order is over $150. Just contact me to set up a hostess code for your orders and even your out of town friends can order through your online workshop!
Now on to the card for today!
- This hostess-exclusive stamp set is called I Like You. There are 4 different floral images as well as two sentiments, and you only use $10 of your hostess dollars for a clear-mount set ($14 hostess dollars for the wood-mount set)!
- My color scheme is Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Coastal Cabana. Love these colors together!
- I stamped the main image with a new ink called Memento ink. That’s because I’ve used our brand new Blendabilities markers to color in the image. They’re alcohol ink markers, so you’ll need to have this new ink whenever you’re using them. Both the Blendabilities markers and the Memento Pad are in the new 2014 Stampin’ Up! Catalog.
- I used the Circle Framelits with my Big Shot to cut out the main image and then used two Circle Framelits together laid one inside the other to create the Coastal Cabana cardstock ring as a frame around the edge.
- Grab a 2-Way Glue Pen to adhere the thin ring of cardstock – it’s the perfect adhesive for narrow pieces of cardstock.
I have a ways to go in perfecting my technique with the Blendabilities markers, but I’m enjoying getting used to them. They will most likely not be available right on June 2nd as the catalog goes live, but I will keep you updated as to when you may begin ordering them.
