Luminaria

One of the many wonderful perks of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is the terrific monthly magazine we receive from Stampin' Up! filled with lots of inspirational projects.  This is one project I CASED almost exactly as it appeared in the November 09 edition.  This is a luminaria and looks gorgeous when lit from within by a non-flammable electric tea light.  I began by making a box with Baja Breeze 12"x12" textured card stock, then cut holes in all four sides with the Circle Scissors Plus.  I stamped the Medallion background stamp on Vellum card stock using Soft Suede Classic Ink and adhered them from the inside.  A circle of tiny blossoms decorate the outside edge; I made them using the 4-petal flower punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and textured Soft Suede card stock.  Next I ran Very Vanilla and Old Olive card stocks through the Big Shot using the Birds & Blooms Sizzlits 4-Pack Dies.  A small center of So Saffron card stock punched from the circle punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack is added to each of the centers, then a Jewels Basic Pearls.  Wouldn't this be beautiful decoration for a Christmas Eve or New Years Eve event?
