Hello Love Valentine

Hello Love

Here’s a quick and easy card using just 2 punches and one stamp from Stampin’ Up!  It’s definitely a Valentine’s Day kinda card, but it could be used all year long.  Who wouldn’t like getting this card in any month!

Not sure where the “hello love” came from?  That’s because it’s from a retired hostess set called Good Greetings.  Here’s a photo of all the great sentiments contained in this one set.

Good Greetings

Since Good Greetings is retired, you can replace the sentiment with something else appropriate that you have.  But wait – I just happen to have an extra copy that’s never been used!  Leave a comment to this post and let me know which sentiment is your favorite from this set.  I’ll do a random drawing from the comments below.  Saturday, January 17th, is my birthday, and to celebrate I’ll choose a winner on that day.  I’ll announce the winner here on my blog, so be sure to leave a comment now then check back on the 17th to see if you’ve won!

Now on to telling you about my card.  Color scheme is Blackberry Bliss, Tangerine Tango and So Saffron – these colors work so well with each other, even though they aren’t in the same color collection!

  • Begin creating the circle heart images by using the heart punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.  Punch into the cardstock then using the 1″ Circle Punch, punch around the heart.  It’s much easier in this order!
  • Save out one of the punched hearts and pop it up on a Dimensional next to the sentiment.
  • A little Tangerine Tango Baker’s Twine is all the accessory you need with this fun layout.

Enjoy creating your own card and have fun playing with different color schemes.  This is a non-traditional Valentine’s Day color combo and if you’d prefer, you can try it in pinks and reds, maybe with some black.

I think that “celebrate” is useful for so many of life’s special occasions. I like your use of the heart and circle punches for this card. I hadn’t thought of that, so thank you for sharing. 🙂

Since Valentine’s is around the corner, I’m going to say ‘Hugs and Kisses’. It can also be used in cards for grandkids, nieces and nephews and of course our spouses.

Thankful for you is my favorite as I make cards for my employee of which as it says “Thankful for you” say it all. Plus they love all my handmade stampin up cards.
