Celebrate Summer Sorbet
Lots of different Stampin’ Up! stamp sets and accessories going on in this simple card. Sometimes one set just won’t do! Summer Sorbet is a set of really great bold images, but you’ll need to grab your sentiments elsewhere. And who can resist using the background stamp from Best Birds on everything. You’ll need that stamp set just for this great stamp alone!
- My color scheme is a bit unusual for this card, although I think it works – Soft Sky, Smoky Slate, Rose Red, Rich Razzleberry and Peekaboo Peach.
- The pretty designer paper is from A Little Foxy Paper Stack. Remember to use the plainer papers with other stamp sets – it doesn’t just coordinate with the fun Foxy Friends stamp set!
- Love this fun-shaped heart, stamped using a Rose Red stamp pad. Just cut it out quickly with Paper Snips and pop it up on Dimensionals.
- The sentiment comes from Thoughtful Banners and is bundled with the Duet Banner Punch to save you 10%. This combo will become a staple in your card designing!
- I miss the scallop border punch like crazy. But fear not – your Layering Squares Framelits will do the trick! I’ve added a Peekaboo Peach Heart Enamel Shape to coordinate both with the Peekaboo Peach scallops and the heart motif. These little shapes are so easy to use with self-adhesive backing – you’ll want them in ever color!

Your Perfect Day
Time to start thinking about wedding cards – June is the biggest wedding month of the year! Stampin’ Up! has a couple of really nice wedding stamp sets in the 2015 Occasions Catalog. Today I’m featuring Your Perfect Day. And remember – you only have until June 2nd to order from the Occasions Catalog!
- As with many of my cards, I began with a great wedding designer paper called Something Borrowed. It contains various prints in Sahara Sand and Whisper White, perfect for adding your own wedding color scheme. And with more sheets of each design, this paper is great for creating multiple projects, like wedding save the date, invitations or thank you cards.
- The cake image is stamped with StazOn Ink, then a slight bit of coloring was done with the Aqua Painter and Sahara Sand Stamp Pad.
- A piece of Doily peeks out of the side for a little soft interest.
- I also used the Corner Rounder on the two right-hand corners. This little addition can change up the look of your card so much!
- The sweet hearts on the cake come from the Heart Border Punch. I added tiny Pearls to each.
- Stampin’ Up! Blushing Bride Cotton Ribbon is so soft and easy to tie. Here I added a second piece to have a double knotted ribbon look.

- The Modern Medley Designer Series Paper takes center stage here with the crisp black and vanilla look. It's great because all of the papers in the packet can be used interchangeably.
- One in a Million stamp set has been a real hit – so many great sentiments all in one set.
- The tiny heart comes from the Owl Builder Punch, and a couple of small Rhinestones are a perfect accent.
- Tie a piece of Basic Black 1/8" Taffet Ribbon and you're done! Easy as that!

Nicole & Jim’s wedding card
My beautiful downline and friend Nicole Bertrand (now Keeler!) just got married, and I knew I had to make a special wedding card for the happy couple! The couple's wedding colors were Gumball Green, Basic Black and Whisper White, so I followed that for their card. I don't have much in the way of overtly wedding stamps, but many of our pretty images can work quite nicely. I based this card on Creative Elements stamp set. With eight different images that coordinate beautifully, it was easy to add some different layers. And good news – this great set is carrying over to the new 2013-14 Annual Catalog!
- I stamped the flourish image in VersaMark Ink, used Black Stampin' Emboss Powder and the Heat Tool to heat emboss for a nice, shiny black.
- Gumball Green circle is punched with the 2-1/2" Circle Punch.
- I used the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack, Mat Pack and Paper-Piercing Tool to pierce around the Gumball Green circle. It doesn't show up well in the picture, but it adds a lot!
- Basic Black card stock strip has a punched edge with Scallop Trim Border Punch.
- "Congratulations" comes from Sweet Essentials stamp set. Both it and the decorative line are stamped in StazOn and heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. Don't forget to use your Powder Pal so that the embossing powder doesn't cling where you don't want it.

Wedding wishes for my niece
My niece was married this past weekend, and here's the card I made them for their special occasion.
- Whisper White background layered with Wisteria Wonder card stock began the base of this card.
- Next layer is Whisper White card stock run through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.
- I punched through that top layer with the Elegant Butterfly Punch.
- Sentiment is from Word Play and is stamped in Basic Gray then punched out with the Decorative Label Punch.
- A Rhinestone adds bling to the ring!
- Final touch is Wisteria Wonder 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon tied around the top layer.
- I used Dimensionals for the entire top layer so there would be more depth to the butterfly, and I also adhered the sentiment with Dimensionals. They really make a big difference!

Last group of swaps
Here are the last 3 swaps I'd like to share with you – lots of terrific ideas for using Occasions Mini Catalog stamp sets!
This pretty monochromatic wedding card is from Michelle Bertrand; she used Love & Laughter stamp set along with Pool Party and Island Indigo card stocks and inks. Background gets dolled up with the Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, and a couple of Pearls complete this classy card.
Here's a beautiful card created by Nicole Bertrand. She used Apothecary Art stamp set, along with Sale-A-Bration Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper and Ribbon. Love the coordination of the stamp set and the Labels Collection Framelits Dies – layering them creates this beautiful border around the main image.
Last but certainly not least is a pretty wedding card from Sharon Vickery. Sharon's used the Bird Builder Punch along with the stamp set Loving Thoughts to create this beauty.

Wedding Wishes
I needed a special wedding card and decided it on a very elegant feel. So I based it around the beautiful Mocha Morning Specialty Designer Series Paper which includes a beautiful piece of Crumb Cake paper with black flocking. I used Elizabeth single stamp to create the frame for the sentiment and stamped in Versa Mark Ink, applied black embossing powder and heat embossed using the Heat Tool. Don't forget to use your Embossing Buddy lightly rubbed over the card stock before you stamp – this will take away any static that makes tiny specks of embossing powder cling where it's not wanted. I stamped Elizabeth on Crumb Cake card stock and the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes in the center, then cut out just the oval and popped it up on Dimensionals. A piece of Basic Black Satin Ribbon and Crumb Cake card stock punched with Scallop Trim Border Punch add even more elegance. I love how Stampin' Up! coordinates its products! The piece of designer paper I chose has a matching stamped image – it's from Elements of Style and I used it to add a little something to the front of the envelope.
To make this card extra special, I also lined the envelope with the designer paper! Simply cut a piece of designer paper that will fit into the envelope and extend over the flap. Then lick the envelope and stick it into place. Trim off the excess paper following the curve of the top of the envelope. Use SNAIL Adhesive to seal the envelope!
