New Stampin’ Up! Rotary Addition

Rotary Cutting card

Look closely at the three strips of cardstock down the left side of the card.  They've all been cut with the brand new Small Scallop Stampin' Trimmer Rotary Cutting Blade used with the Rotary Addition to the Stampin' Trimmer.

  • Color scheme is Smoky Slate, Pistachio Pudding, Strawberry Slush and Daffodil Delight.
  • I brought back an oldie but goodie stamp set for this card – Embellished Events.  This is a great all-purpose set, with 6 image stamps and 6 sentiments included.
  • Love the arrow paperclip from Cute Clips package, tied up with coordinating ribbons.

Stampin' Up! has put together a video showing how to use all the rotary accessories – please watch!

Here are two of the blade cartridges you can purchase –  Small Scallop Blade (pictured on right) and the Tiny Wave Blade (pictured on left).  I put a quarter in the picture so you could see how fine and delicate the cuts are – so pretty!

Heaven Knows

Heaven knows

Here's a quick and easy card that gets its "wow" factor from a simple sponging techinque.  I created a mask by using a piece of typing paper run through the Big Shot with the largest of the Deco Labels Collection Framelits.  It's pictured below after I've used it.

mask

I simply laid the mask over top of my Whisper White cardstock and used a Soft Sky stamp pad and a Sponge to sponge color inside the mask.  Keeping the mask in place, I stamped the flower from Fabulous Florets stamp set in StazOn Ink within the frame.  When I removed the mask, I had this pretty main image created.

I loved the sentiment from Blessings from Heaven stamp set to coordinate with this card.  It could be used for so many different purposes – friendship, encouragement, birthday or just thinking about someone.

And be prepared to see LOTS of lined envelopes in my posts!  I'm totally hooked on the Envelope Liners Framelits.  It's so quick to coordinate your card and envelope for that added polish!  The various Color Collection Designer Series Paper Stacks found on pg. 152 of the Annual Catalog are the perfect purchase.  Here I used the Subtles Collection to coordinate the Soft Sky paper in the envelope with the ink used on the card.

New Envelope Liner Framelits Dies

Note card thank you

Today I'm showing you yet another idea for the Stampin' Up! note cards.  In case you missed them, I've posted other ideas HERE and HERE.  But I also want to introduce you to the new Envelope Liner Framelits Dies.  They're going to take your beautiful handmade cards to the next level by coordinating the designer paper on the card and lining the envelope, too.  Three different sizes in the set line Stampin' Up!'s square envelopes, note cards and medium envelopes.

Here's a great video on how to use these nifty new tools!

  • This simple card uses Quantrefancy Specialty Designer Series Paper, but of course, any of the gorgeous Stampin' Up! designer papers will work.
  • I've cut a simple tag for the sentiment using a Chalk Talk Framelit then stamped the "thank you" from the hostess-exclusive stamp set called Express Yourself.  This handy stamp set lets you say just about anything!
  • Not only can I coordinate the paper on envelope and card, but I can also coordinate paper and stamp set AND punch!  I've used Mosaic Madness stamp set and coordinating Mosaic Punch to add the little mosaic piece to the thank you tag.  BUNDLE & SAVEbuy the Mosaic Madness stamp set and punch together and save 15%!

Note card thank you 2

As long as we're all about coordination today, I even stamped down the left side of the envelope.  In minutes you have a pretty impressive card!

What’s all the fuss about Stampin’ Up!’s new Stampin’ Pads?

To be honest, I wasn't sure why we were getting newly designed stamp pads.  I mean, haven't we all loved the ones we have?  But then I opened my brand new 2012-14 In Color stamp pads, stamped just one image and fell in love!  Here's why:

Firm Foam Pads

Just look at all the exciting benefits listed below:

  • Provide better ink coverage for your stamps!
  • Light-tap stamping produces flawless images!
  • Pad stays juicier for longer resulting in better ink pad longevity!

In addition, our new Stampin' Pads

  • Have a crisply printed, glossy label on the top of the pad that is easier to read and that will not fade or chip off!
  • Come with color name labels in all four languages (English, Spanish, French, and German)-just choose your language, peel it off the back, and add it to the side of the pad for easy identification!
  • Use the same patented flip-top case design that stores the inking surface upside down, so the pad surface stays moist!
  • Are available in all colors, including our exclusive In Colors!

Here's Shannon West from the Stampin' Up! Home Office as she discusses the new firm foam.  Just click the link to go to You Tube to watch:  Stampin' Pads in the video.  So I watched Shannon's video and tried it out for myself, and here are the results.

I used a stamp from Circle Circus stamp set both stamped in Soft Suede ink.  The one on the right I used my "old-style" classic stampin' pad, while the one on the left, I used by brand new foam pad!  What a difference!  I thought I'd replace my stamp pads slowly over time, but once I experienced such better results, I replaced them all!  AND you'll save by buying them in groups of color families!

  • Buy 2011-13 In Color stamp pads and get a free package of In Color card stock – Item No. 122993 $29.95
  • Buy 2012-14 In Color stamp pads and get a free package of In Color card stock – Item No. 126835 $29.95
  • Buy Brights Collection stamp pads, all 10 pads, and save $9.55 – Item No. 126987
  • Buy Subtles Collection stamp pads, all 10 pads, and save $9.55 – Item No. 126988
  • Buy Regals Collection stamp pads, all 10 pads, and save $9.55 – Item No. 126989
  • Buy Neutrals Collection stamp pads, 8 pads total, and save $7.65 – Item No. 126990

And don't forget – earn free stamp sets with Kriss's Online Customer Perks.

Please note: Five ink colors have undergone formula changes to improve functionality and color stability with the new firm foam pads. These colors are:

  • Basic Black
  • Basic Gray
  • Marina Mist
  • Perfect Plum
  • Tempting Turquoise

When purchasing new stamp pads in the above colors, you'll want to purchase the new ink refill to go with them.  You can use all of the other "old" ink refills on the newly designed stamp pads.
