There's lots of flexibility with Stamp Shoppe!  There are two different track options – Track A and Track B.  Each track features 4 different card designs.  Choose one track, two tracks, or even two of one track.  Scrapbook Shoppe gives you two spreads for a total of (4) 12"x12" completed pages.  Come to just Scrapbook Shoppe or add in a card track at the same time – it's your choice!

Scrapbooking Friends with Sunshine & Sprinkles

I love the entire Sunshine & Sprinkles suite found in the Spring Catalog – such pretty colors!  At first blush, it might seem like baby paper, but by using different sides, you'll get a lot of diversity from this pack.

Join us for an amazing weekend of creativity at the Finger Lakes Casino & Racetrack in Farmington, NY!
 
The Creative Escape is whatever YOU want it to be! A Scrapbook Crop, Stamping & Card making fun, a time to get caught up on Digital Scrapbooking… bring WHATEVER creative projects you're working on and settle in for some quality time to create!  

We are so excited to be partnering with a facility that will help us put on a weekend you won't forget. Our creative space is our very own private floor, with easy elevator access to the main floor. Our room is made up of ceiling to floor windows overlooking the race track – you're in for a view! Each table also has its very own TV with basic stations, easy access to electrical outlets and WiFi.

Want to do your "own thing"? Go ahead and move in for the weekend! We even have a valet unloading service on Saturday Morning to help.

Don't want to pack up all of your crafting supplies? You don't have to! With access to nearly the entire catalog, dozens of display items and your fully loaded product bundle, you can keep your packing light and just bring your supply basics (adhesive, scissors, etc.) and use all that WE pack!

You can do nothing but craft all weekend! Or, you can take a break here and there to enjoy the other amenities the Casino has to offer, including but not limited to: slots, live music and a full service bar.

Class in a Boxes:

There are 3 "Class in a Box!" offerings and to participate, all you have to do is pre-pay for the classes that you want to complete. When you arrive, you will receive your packets for these classes along with your product bundle and you can complete your class ANY TIME throughout the ENTIRE weekend! This way, you don't have to worry about a schedule, time, or being away from your friends. When you're ready to take the "Class in a Box!" you'll just rent out the class box from the Lending Library (there will be several boxes available) and inside the box will be step by step instructions and everything you need to complete your projects! These classes are offered at a low rate just for Creative Escape attendees!  

Displays, Lending Library & Shopping Nook:
Use your product bundles however you want!  You'll be given wonderful supplies to incorporate into your scrapbook pages or cards as you choose.  There will also be lots of ideas on display for you to copy – both scrapbook pages and cards will be posted.  NEW this session, there will be a PDF instructional file to make copying the display boards easier!  In addition, you'll have access to the Lending Library throughout the entire weekend to use all of our stamp sets, ink pads, punches, Big Shot & dies and all other tools! Your creativity will have no bounds with access to most of the catalog! You'll also want to be sure to have cash for the Shopping Nook where you'll be able to purchase accessories, ribbon by the yard, paper by the sheet and more.

Bye-bye Sale-A-Bration!

This is the last day of Sale-A-Bration!  This terrific sale ends at Midnight Mountain Time – but don't wait too late!  The online ordering system could potentially get bogged down towards the end.

I want to leave you with my last Sale-A-Bration project using some of the yummy designer paper found in the Sycamore Street paper pack and a pretty Rich Razzleberry button from the Sycamore Street Ribbon & Button Pack.  I love how this page turned out and plan to use it for photos of my little granddaughter Quinn.  She brings such sunshine into my life!

Here's a close-up of the "flower garden".  I've used the Blossom Punch for the left and right flowers and the 1-3/4" Scallop Circle Punch for the center.  The leaves are created with the Blossom Petals Builder Punch.  I just ran my Bone Folder down the center and popped them up a little.  Centers are created with the 1-1/4" Circle Punch and the 3/4" Circle Punch with Daffodil Delight card stock.  The two larger flowers have Silver Basics Designer Buttons and Rich Razzleberry Ribbon through the centers, while the smaller uses the Sale-A-Bration button with White Baker's Twine tied in a pretty bow.  And of course I had to use my favorite scrapbooking tool – the Tasteful Trim Bigz Die – to create the white rick-rack.

The sun is created with the Daydream Medallions stamp set, stamped tone-on-tone with Daffodil Delight and cut out with the Floral Frames Framelits and the Big Shot.  Love the coordination of these two products!  Click HERE to see some other projects using this versatile stamp set and framelits.  The center is a fun sentiment from Pursuit of Happiness stamped in Basic Gray ink and punched out with the 1-3/4" Circle Punch.

For the Record Scrappin’ Kit

In the Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog on page 9, there's a terrific scrapbooking kit that includes everything you need to create 2 12"x12" scrapbook pages, including instructions.  It's called For the Record and sells for just $9.95.  Today I thought I'd give you an additional layout option for this great little kit.  I purchased the kit and added just a few extra accessories to step it up just a bit.

My most used scrapbooking tools are the Big Shot and the Tasteful Trim Bigz XL die.  I love this because you can create 4 different 12" strips to accent all of your layouts.  I've also added a few colored brads.

On this page I used a fun little arrow clip from the Hung Up Cute Clips packet.  I tied on a piece of Real Red Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon and clipped it to the note element that you get in the kit.  The "f" is to stand for "f is for fun" and I just realized I didn't journal that in!  Island Indigo Baker's Twine is wrapped three times around the Old Olive strip at the bottonm.

Scrapbooking Christmas Memories

There's probably not a better time to scrapbook than at Christmas.  Everyone always has so many pictures of family get togethers, kids opening gifts and special times spent with friends and family.  Here's a scrapbook page I made all ready to drop in my photos.  I've used Early Espresso 12"x12" card stock for the base, plus Real Red, Lucky LImeade, Very Vanilla and different prints from the Candlelight Christmas Specialty Designer Paper package.

This accent features a Silver Flourish Designer Frame; the "Christmas 2012" is computer generated and punched out with the Decorative Label Punch – on sale at 30% off now through Wednesday!
Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon is a nice, soft ribbon for scrapbooking that remains flat under the page protector.
And through the knot of the ribbon is a Vintage Trinket safety pin along with a tag made with Tiny Tags stamp set and the Jewelry Tag Punch.
Scalloped edge is created with the Tasteful Trims Die and the Big Shot.

• The upper corner motif is stamped with Greetings of the Season stamp set and die cut with a Holiday Ornaments Framelits Die.
• Another piece of Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon tied in a bow is a nice accent for the ornament.
• Add a row of Pearls for a pretty embellishment.

Afternoon Daydream Simply Scrappin’ Kit

Truly one of my favorite products in the Stampin' Up! catalog is the Simply Scrappin' Kits.  You can find them on pages 167 & 168 in the Annual Catalog and on page 9 in the Holiday Catalog.  These sweet sets pack a real punch – at just $21.95 per kit, I was able to make all of the above projects – 4 12"x12" scrapbook pages and 8 cards – plus have pieces left over!  Here's what each kit contains:

• 8 sheets of 12" x 12" card stock, 2 of each of 4 colors
• 6 sheets of 12" x 12" double-sided designer paper, 3 each of 2 designs
• 3 12" x 12" sheets of self-adhesive card stock stickers, each sheet having double the stickers

I chose Afternoon Daydream Simply Scrappin' Kit for the projects above.  I used mainly the kit contents and added a few embellishments like brads, buttons and ribbon, and I used lots of different sentiments from my stash of stamp sets.  You'll also want to consider the Daydream Medallions stamp set that coordinates with this kit.  They work really well together!  Over the next few posts, I'll break down all of the above projects and give you close-ups of the photos as well as a supply list for each.

To give you an idea of what the kit contains, the base of the card, the designer paper to the right, the strip along the bottom and the butterfly all come in the kit.  I added pieces of Primrose Petals and Whisper White card stocks to the mix, as well as a couple of Rhinestones to the center of the butterfly.  The white card stock is punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch, and the Primrose Petals card stock is run through the Big Shot with the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder.  Sentiment is from A Word For You stamp set.

Annual Stamping Garage Sale at the July Stamp Shoppe

The July Stamp Shoppe is just a week away, and I want to be sure it's on your calendar.  Take a moment now to RSVP because it's going to be a big weekend with our Annual Stamping Garage Sale on July 13th & 14th.

Stamp Shoppe is always a fun time, and this month there's even more to be excited about!  During the weekend hundreds of retired Stampin' Up! products will be for sale, including recently retired items as well as "collectors items" from past years!

Creative Escape Break-Out Classes & More!

I hope you are getting excited for Creative Escape coming up on June 23rd and 24th!

One of the things that sets Creative Escape apart from other crops and/or retreats is that attendees have the option to sign up for break-out classes at a reduced cost (an approx. $15 discount per class!)

You will receive 1/2 a pack of Betsy's Blossom Designer Paper and 1/2 a package of Paper Daisies at this class ($10.12 value alone!) in addition to all sorts of other consumables to adorn your album, and all of the necessary cardstock. You will use 1/2 of the kit during the class, and 1/2 of the kit will be left over to make MORE creations, either during Creative Escape or at home!

• Sunday at 1 pm: Intermediate My Digital Studio, Cost: FREE — This hour-long class will bypass all of the basics on My Digital Studio and delve more into capabilities and functionality.  To take this class, it is best that you either take the Saturday Beginner's Class first OR have had experience with My Digital Studio already at home as basics will not be explained.

To sign up for any of these break out classes, simply e-mail me at krisshuels@gmail.com and I will send you an invoice, payable online via credit ord ebit card! You can also put a check in the mail if you prefer as long as I'll receive it by Tuesday, June 12th.

I also just have to tell you that we had a Demonstrator Event at the Casino this past Saturday, and the food is FABULOUS! We felt completely spoiled by the massive and unlimited menu selection. They even had brunch options in the early afternoon — it was so yummy – you're going to love it!
