A Tie-Dyed Thank You

Tie dyed thank you

I owe this card idea to fellow demonstrator Missy Shipman who had the idea of taking the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and doing some tie dying with it.  This is so fun and can be done in any colors you choose.  For my card, I picked Old Olive, Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise and Rich Razzleberry – all from the Brights Collection colors.

Start out by creating your own stamp pad.  I used an old-style stamp set case, but you can use anything that won’t soak through the bottom like a styrofoam meat tray or plate.  Lay a baby wipe on the bottom of the surface, then squeeze 5-6 drops of Ink Refills onto the baby wipe.  As you are adding colors, try to fill in so that there aren’t any white spots in between the ink refill dots.  It’ll look something like this:

make your own ink pad

Then just dip your stamp into the ink without moving it around.  Stamp down on the “ink pad” you’ve created, then stamp onto your cardstock.  Clean your stamp before placing it back into the “ink pad” or the colors will become muddy.

I added a thank you greeting from Another Thank You photopolymer stamp set and I’m done!  Easy but very fun and effective!

My card is 4″x4″, so I used my Envelope Punch Board to create the perfect-sized envelope for my card.  I wanted to create a matching inner flap, so I used a long post-it note at the fold line to keep the stamping just on the flap.

This would be a great card to make duplicates of.  They go so quickly and are such a wow!

Sweetie Pie

Sweetie Pie

I'm tickled to death with our new Sweetie Pie Photopolymer Stamps – they're so much fun!  Here are the images you receive with both coordinating sets:
Sweetie Pie stamps

There are so many stamps in these two sets and such coordination factor!  I know I won't be sick of these any time soon!

  • Gingham Garden is the perfect designer paper to show of a "girly" card!  I've used two different prints from this pretty packet.
  • Notice the cute doodles on the right-hand side?  That's a stamp from the Sweetie Pie Frames set!  I can imagine using this stamp on lots of different cards.
  • I added some major bling by putting a Rhinestone on every other circle around the mirror.  It didn't photograph so well, but it looks great "in person".
  • The Scallop Trim Border Punch adds a sweet edge, and White Baker's Twine completes the look.

Rainbow of Thank You’s

rainbow thank you

Just look at this fun rainbow of colors!  It makes my eyes happy!

group thank you

As soon as I saw the new Another Thank You stamp set, I knew it was top on my list of things to purchase!  I send a LOT of thank you cards, and there are so many options with this great set.

When the stamp set came in, I loved the way it looked just in the case.  So I mounted all of my stamps, just like they were arranged in the case, onto my Acrylic Block F (which measures 4-7/8"x6").  I then chose a wide array of stamp pads of my most favorite colors and simply stamped it on Whisper White cardstock measuring 5-1/4"x4".  I then mounted them on coordinating cardstock and voila – finished!  Well, except for adding just a touch of Dazzling Diamonds Glitter with my Glue Pen on a couple of the heart images.

I'm planning to give a set of these to my future daughter-in-law at her upcoming bridal shower, along with a personalized return address stamp, and ink pad and envelopes.

Here's one of the cards up close.  This one uses Crisp Cantaloupe.

thank you

I also made a smaller collage and stamped some 3"x3" cards to enclose in my customers' "By Mail" packages.  If you don't know about this terrific program, just click on "By Mail!" in the header at the top of the page.  Here's a picture of the smaller version using Coastal Cabana and a Strawberry Slush heart:

3x3 thank you

Of course, there are many other ways to use this versatile stamp set without using the words as a collage.  You'll want to order this set right away and get working on your own thank you notes.
