I've met a really nice group of women at my fitness center's yoga class, and I thought I'd invite them over for tea and lattes after class. We might even stamp a card together! Just had to send a "proper" invitation, even though it's a very casual get together.
Color scheme is Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral and Baja Breeze.
Tea cups are from Tea Shoppe stamp set – I cut the three in a row apart so I could use them individually more easily.
Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon is my only embellishment – but it's so pretty it's enough!
"You're Invited" is a part of the Oh, Hello stamp set and is stamped in Early Espresso ink.
That's it! I printed out all the info and instructions to my house and tucked them inside. I'm looking forward to a fun time making new friends!

An Invitation from Stampin’ Up!
I was so thrilled when I received this gorgeous invitation in the mail from Stampin' Up! – they've invited my husband and me to have breakfast with a Stampin' Up! corporate team member during the Disney Incentive Trip on May 1st! I've already said "yes" – of course – but I'm really nervous!
In true Stampin' Up! style, the invitation is over the top gorgeous! The envelope was made with Soft Suede card stock lined with some designer paper. There are so many sweet elements to this – did you notice a brand new stamp set coming your way in June? It's the So Saffron frame base under the stamp from the Tea Shoppe stamp set label which is under the "you're invited" stamp! There's also an additional stamp from that new set; it's the flourish stamped in Soft Suede on Soft Suede card stock at the bottom of the invitation. I actually received this stamp set at the Leadership Conference in January and haven't had a chance to play with it yet. I'll be showing it off a little more very soon!

My Creative Hostess
So how clever is my "over-achieving" hostess!!! Phyl Lyons of Seneca Falls, NY, recently had a workshop and she went all out. This is her invitation to her workshop – on the flip side is all of the information! Isn't it darling? The results? Phyl's workshop closed at over $900 earning her 3 free stamp sets and over $120 in hostess free merchandise! It really pays to go the extra mile! You might like to use this idea for an upcoming Christmas party invitation.
Phyl coupled my favorite stamp set of the year, Greeting Card Kids, with Newsprint Designer Series Paper for this gorgeous creation. The Big Shot along with the Scallop Circle #2 Bigz Die made it a snap to cut out the scallops for the background. When creating a vintage feel, don't forget to sponge the edges of your card stock and papers. It really adds to the feel! In this case, Phyl used Soft Suede Classic Ink along with a Sponge. Phyl's favorite technique for coloring in her images is to use the AquaPainters with her Classic Stamp Pads. Just beautiful! And congratulations to Phyl for hosting a fantastic workshop!
