Something to Say and I Like You
I have a quick & Easy card for you today – something you can create in just a few minutes, but I think it packs a punch! Unfortunately, there are many times these encouraging words could be a comfort to those around you – sympathy, illness, any of life’s challenges.
- I’ve combined three stamp sets – Something to Say for the beautiful sentiment, I Like You (a hostess-exclusive stamp set) and Party Pennants, a stamp fro the July 2013 Paper Pumpkin kit for the Old Olive background behind the sentiment.
- I know you’re waiting patiently (or not!) for the release of the Stampin’ Up! Blendabilities Markers! Let me tell you, they’re worth the wait! There’s never been an easier way to color in images! I used Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Coastal Cabana and Daffodil Delight to color in my pretty flower image. I created another card using the same stamp and color scheme HERE. Word on the street is that they should be available later in June or possibly into July, so sit tight – they’re coming!

Petite Petals meets Flowering Flourishes
I love how the Petite Petals flowers can work with so many other stamp sets! Here I’ve paired it with Flowering Flourishes to create the greenery for the sweet Petite Petals flower. Be sure to get the coordinating Petite Petals Punch to stamp and cut out in a jiff.
- Color scheme is Smoky Slate, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Crushed Curry. Don’t forget to use Smoky Slate as your neutral sometimes! For this get well card, it adds a little subtlety.
- Fancy Fans Embossing Folder created the pretty background. I still love using all of the Stampin’ Up! embossing folders to give texture to the cardstock.
- “Better get better” is from A Dozen Thoughts – a great stamp set for lots of sentiment choices.
- Rich Razzleberry Candy Dots are the perfect accent to hold the sentiment in place and accent the flower center.

Feel Better with Petite Petals
I'm really trying to "Think Spring" today, but it's a bit difficult when it's STILL in the 20's and it's snowing this morning! But I have a springy get well card for you that's sure to put a smile on the person receiving it!
- Haven't had a chance to purchase the new Hardwood background stamp from the Occasions Catalog. It's actually on its way, but for now I'll use my older Woodgrain background stamp to stamp the Baked Brown Sugar square cardstock for the background.
- Punches and Big Shot dies take center stage on this quick and easy card. I've used the Petite Petals stamp and coordinating Petite Petals Punch to create the Strawberry Slush flowers. Buy these two new products in a bundle and save 15%!
- I used Old Olive cardstock and the Bird Punch to create the branch, and Beautiful Wings Embosslit to make the butterfly.
- Pearls are the only accent to keep this card nice and simple.
- "Feel Better Soon" is one of the beautiful stamps contained in the hostess-exclusive stamp set called Express Yourself. It's yours free (plus more!) when your workshop totals at least $150 or if you place your own order for that amount.
Don't Forget!
- The Sale-A-Bration countdown has begun – less than a week left to receive your FREE gift for each increment of $50 you spend. View the Sale-A-Bration flyer HERE.
- Also, I just added the hostess code for the April Stamp Shoppe free card kits. Use hostess code 3EPCGPZY when checking out to receive April's Stamp Shoppe card kits FREE! I've posted the cards for April – check them out HERE.

Buttercup Geometrical
Do you remember when Stampin' Up! carried 3"x6" envelopes? I really loved that size of card for so many layouts. Now that we have the Envelope Punch Board, we can have any size envelope we want! So I'm back to designing a 3"x6" card and lovin' every minute of it!
- Color scheme is Elegant Eggplant, Rich Razzleberry, Wisteria Wonder and Pistachio Pudding.
- You're going to love using the Geometrical stamp set with coordinating Triangle Punch! Bundle and save 15%!
- I've stamped the various triangle images in the Geometrical stamp set onto Whisper White cardstock for the background strip, then stamped a few on a scrap piece and punched them out with the new Triangle Punch. Dimensionals raise up 3 of the triangles. This was my final touch to the card, and it really made a huge difference!
-
I arranged the three Candy Dots in the bottom corner iin the shape of a triangle in keeping with the theme.
Stamping on the envelope ties in nicely with the card!
When you make your 3"x6" envelope, you'll have a large flap at the back. Simply cut it off so it doesn't hang below the bottom of the envelope when sealed. I like using Multipurpose Liquid Glue to assemble the envelope.

Gently Falling Get Well
Gently Falling has been one of my favorite fall sets and also one of my favorite two-step stamping stamp sets ever. This beautiful set, a carryover from last year's Holiday Catalog and now found in our Annual Catalog on pg. 65, gives you two coordinating stamp sets for each image you're creating. First, stamp the outline of the stamp, here I chose Early Espresso. Then use the coordinating stamp to stamp over the outline and watercoloring inside the lines. But instead of choosing a solid color ink, I used Sponge Daubers and Stampin' Pad and dabbed on the colors direct to the rubber.
- A pretty color scheme of Early Espresso, Pear Pizzazz, Coastal Cabana and Strawberry Slush adds a bit of a different feel tot his Fall card.
- Teeny Tiny Wishes is a tried and true go-to stamp set for sentiments!
- Use a fun Hardware Clip to attach a variety of perfectly coordinating ribbons.
-
The Chevron Embossing Folder gives some more texture to the two strips of cardstock in the background.
Don't forget to line that envelope for fantastic coordination!

Sending Good Thoughts
Too Kind is the perfect stamp set to show off the coordination of using Calypso Coral and Crisp Cantaloupe together. In this beautiful 2-step stamping stamp set, there are separate stamps for both shades in the flowers, and a separate stamp for the Pear Pizzazz stems. And there are two wonderful sentiments as well.
- I've used Baked Brown Sugar as the card base. Next layer is Calypso Coral cardstock run through the Big Shot using the Honeycomb Embossing Folder. A 1"x5-1/2" piece of Whisper White cardstock is also run through the Big Shot using one of the Finishing Touches Edgelits.
- Next I added a piece of Calypso Coral 3/4" Chevron Ribbon – you're going to want this ribbon in every color! It's so versatile and trendy.
- Begin any 2-step stamping with the lightest color. In this case, I stamped the Pear Pizzazz stems first so that I could properly place the flowers on top. Then I stamped the larger images in Crisp Cantaloupe followed by the smaller images in Calypso Coral. Don't worry too much about how perfectly you line them up. Just stamp the center over the stem and it'll look great! This is the easiest watercoloring you'll ever do!
- Sentiment is stamped over the flower stem with Baked Brown Sugar ink.
- I felt like the corner needed a little somethin' so did some paper piercing. It's so simple when you have the Essentials Paper-Piercing Grid to help line up all the holes!

Two for One Post!
Congratulations to my team members on their accomplishments in August! And here's the special card I made them:
Stampin' Up! product coordination is at its finest with this beautiful designer paper and stamp set.
- Birds of a Feather Designer Series Paper makes this color combo easy as can be – Island Indigo, Primrose Petal and Summer Starfruit.
- Flock Together stamp set gives lots of "birdy" choices!
- Sassy Salutations stamp set is a must have for fun sentiments – stamping on designer paper isn't something I normally think of, but I love it on this card.
- Primrose Petals Satin Ribbon is the perfect accent – don't forget to "dovetail" the ends of your ribbon for the "bird" effect! (It's a stretch, I know, but I just had to say it!)
- Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch and a piece of the Birds of a Feather Designer Paper creates the pretty edge on the right-hand side of the card.
- A Rhinestone Jewel decorates the top of the bird cage.

Gently Falling Card Set
Have I got a treat for you today!!!! I have an ENTIRE Fall card set project to show. I designed this card set for my September demonstrator team Stamp & Chat that I hold once a quarter. The idea behind this set of cards is to choose a small selection of Stampin' Up! products to showcase throughout all of the cards so that my team could then offer this as a class for their customers. I designed each card to teach an easy technique (or two!). With the exception of a few small additions, I chose to focus on Spice Cake Designer Series Paper, Gently Falling stamp set, Perfectly Penned stamp set for the 4 sentiments, a roll of Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon and a package of Basic Pearls. The cards and 4 Very Vanilla envelopes all fit nicely in the file folder card case featuring a Spice Cake Designer Button.
The first card features a "rock and roll" method for creating the two-toned leave of More Mustard and Pool Party (really 3-toned when counting the second stamp in Soft Suede). Dazzling Details gives the leaf an iridescent glitter. I also showed how to create the ribbon rose by twisting the ribbon and laying it into Sticky Sheets. Leaves are punched using the 5-Petal Flower Punch.
This card shows how to gather the ribbon into a row of Sticky Strip for an interesting look, as well as layering our 5/8" Jumbo Brads with a card stock circle and a pearl for added interest. Postage Stamp Punch is used for the designer paper.
This card highlights the beautiful two-step stamping of the Gently Falling stamps. Torn edges around the Get Well sentiment add some more interest. The pearls were lost on the busy background designer paper, so I backed them with Pool Party card stock circles created with the Itty Bitty Punch Pack. The Eyelet Border Punch gave the More Mustard background some pop.
The final card in the set uses Post-It notes to mask around the edges of the background of the leaf then sponging Crumb Cake Classic Ink inside. Stamp the leaf image over the top using Soft Suede Classic Ink.

Get Well Soon
This yummy designer paper called Pocketful of Posies had me at "hello"! Everything about it is so unexpected – the prints as well as the beautiful color combinations. This card features one of my favorite pieces contained in the packet, and I picked up colors in it for the rest of the card. I began with Elegant Eggplant card stock for the card base, then added Baja Breeze card stock that was run through the Big Shot with the Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I LOVE this new, versatile folder and you will, too! A piece of Perfect Plum 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon divides the two papers, and the 3D flower is made with the Fun Flowers die and the Big Shot using Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant card stocks. Behind the flower is a white doily from the Flirtatious Designer Series Paper pack; there are Melon Mambo and Pumpkin Pie doilies in the packet, but both are white on the back. The center is a Daffodil Delight button from the Brights Designer Buttons with some Real Red 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon in the center. The sentiment is from Delightful Dozen stamp set, sure to be one of your favorite greetings sets this year! It fits neatly in the 1-3/8" Circle Punch.
