2015-17 In Color Pairings
Do you remember the previous post with the cool layout I posted HERE? I decided to use that same layout and explore some interesting color combinations using the new 2015-17 In Colors along with existing colors. I’ve really enjoyed seeing different results in using all of the In Colors together, and now it’s time to pair the new In Colors with some of our other favorites. Here are a couple of cards using just the new 2015-17 In Colors – click HERE, HERE and HERE for some samples of how well they work together. For now, let’s look at some other combos!
This card begins with Tip Top Taupe, our brand new neutral in the 2015-17 In Color Collection. I love this paired with Basic Black, but then it needed a pop of color – and Bermuda Bay was just the color to do that!
Next up is Cucumber Crush. It looks fantastic with Basic Black again, and an equally bright and cheerful color Melon Mambo. It’s also going to be a great color for a traditional Christmas green color.
Delightful Dijon is going to be my “go to” color of autumn! I just love the rich gold color. It pairs nicely with a lot of the Regals Collection colors, and here I chose Cherry Cobbler.
Mint Macaron looks wonderful with a lot of colors! I chose Calypso Coral and Blackberry Bliss for this card for a bit of an unusual combination but one I think works well.
If I had to choose one favorite color among the new In Colors, it would be Watermelon Wonder. I love that it’s an unusual pink with a touch of coral to it. It also combines well with a variety of colors. Here I chose Island Indigo and Smoky Slate.
With all the cards, I used the 2015-17 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack, a White Perfect Accent and a Rhinestone for accessories. Some have ribbons; others have a strip of cardstock in the background. I used three different Circle Punches and ran the two colored circles through the Big Shot with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder. And don’t forget to pop a couple of the circles up with Dimensionals – it makes such a difference!
You’ll notice that I stamped all of my cards with a welcome stamp – that’s because we added seven new members to the From the Heart Stampers Team last month! Julie’s a star!
I'm sharing some gorgeous cards using the single stamp called Christmas Star designed by Julie Timm, a member of my From the Heart Stampers. The single-stamp flyer doesn't do these stamps justice! They're shown at 50% size in the flyer, so they're much bigger than you might imagine!
In this card, the star is stamped in two different colors with lots of Rhinestones added in.
Here the star is stamped with a Silver Metallic Encore Pad on Island Indigo cardstock. The Winter Frost Specialty Paper looks so pretty with this image, and I love the added Silver 1/8" Ribbon.
And here's the star cut out and adhered to the front of the card with lots and lots of Rhinestones for an ultra-blingy card!

Congratulations to my Team Members – July 2012

This year at Convention, when you attended all of your classes, you were given the special free stamp set I've featured in this card. It's tied to this year's Convention theme "I am . . ." and is so much fun to use for all the fabulous women in my life.
- Stumped for a color scheme? Just look through your Stampin' Up! catalogs. This unusual palette is from the Afternoon Daydream Simply Scrappin' Kit on page 167 of the Annual Catalog – Basic Gray, More Mustard, Pool Party and Primrose Petals.
- Stampin' Up! is the best in the industry for coordinating products! I cut out both the main image and the border around it, as well as the "You Are" cloud using the Labels Collection Framelits.
- Paper piercing was easy peasy with the new Stampin' Pierce Mat, Paper-Piercing Tool and Festive Paper-Piercing Pack from the Holiday Catalog.
- You'll adore the new Argyle Embossing Folder – here I've used it on the More Mustard card stock background.

Betsy’s Blossoms Thank You
You're in for a super treat today, ladies! My team member Kristin made this gorgeous card, and I'm excited to share it with you. Imagine my delight when I got this beauty in the mail! Kristin made great use of the new Apothecary Accents Framelits designed for use with the Big Shot. She stamped the two flower motifs from Betsy's Blossoms stamp set on the background. The next two layers were texturized with the the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. I asked Kristin to explain how she was able to get two different sizes of the same image and here's her tip: "To layer the framelit piece I just cut the same size twice using 2 different colored card stocks and the Big Shot. I embossed both pieces then cut one of them in half, horizontally, and adhered each half to the piece that was intact to make it look like a frame/layer." So clever! Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon and Rhinestones are terrific accessories!

I can't get enough of the International Bazaar product suite – here I've used World Treasures stamp set along with the International Bazaar Designer Series Paper. Color combo is Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade and Baja Breeze. Pearls and Lucky Limeade Baker's Twine give nice accents. Remember to use Dimensionals on your cards – the main image is popped up, and it really makes a difference!
I made two additional versions of this card to welcome new team members. Notice how different a card can look just by swapping out a different designer paper print!

Creative Elements Birthday
Today I'm sharing another birthday card I received from a very talented team member, Kristin Springer. Kristin used Creative Elements stamp set to create her beautiful card. Love everything about this one – the torn edges, sponging, and the pearl and Antique Brad accessories. Kristin even stamped the flower 3 times then cut out the different sized layers and stacked them together. So pretty!

This card features Bordering on Romance, a beautiful new stamp set in the Occasions Mini. The main image is made with the Ovals Originals Die and the Big Shot. Don't forget to use an Embossing Buddy over the card stock before you begin stamping. Rub it gently across the paper to prevent those nasty stray pieces of embossing powder from sticking where you don't want them. I stamped in VersaMark ink, sprinkled on some Black Embossing Powder and heat set it with my Heat Tool. Then the flowers are colored in with an Aqua Painter and ink from the stamp pads – Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade and Island Indigo. Wisteria Wonder card stock is run through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. Dare to Dream
This beauty was made by team member Nicole Bertrand to celebrate my $100,000 career sales mark in December. Isn't it gorgeous! She used lots of brand new Occasions Mini Catalog products. Stamp sets are Apothecary Art and Loving Thoughts. Loving Thoughts is a wonderful sentiment stamp set containing 11 different sentiments that fit perfectly with a few different stamp sets in the Occasions Mini. And the stamps in Apothecary Art line up with and are cut out by the new Labels Collection Framelits Dies. She also used Twitterpated Designer Series Paper as well as Baja Breeze 3/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon. So pretty and so thoughtful!
