Wonderfall

Fall is my favorite time of the year – even if I live in an oak woods and have to rake leaves almost every day!  And I love the coordination of our fall products in this card.  I've used Wonderfall stamp set that coordinates with the Autumn Accents Bigz Die for the Big Shot, as well as our yummy fall designer paper called Orchard Harvest.  The sentiment comes from Day of Gratitude stamp set in the Annual Catalog. This card measures 5-1/4" square.

• Lucky Limeade card stock zig-zags are created using the Tasteful Trim Bigz XL die and the Big Shot
• Sentiment is punched out with the Decorative Label Punch
• Tiny tag is created using Tiny Tags stamp set and coordinating Jewelry Tag Punch held on with tiny safety pin from Vintage Trinkets

Cute Gingerbread Man

Here's a sweet gingerbread man made by my friend Phyl Lyons.  This is a small 3" x 3" card perfect for a gift enclosure.

• Stamp the gingerbread man from Scentsational Seasons stamp set in More Mustard, then use Sponge Daubers to apply Cajun Craze and Cherry Cobbler ink directly to the rubber and blend in to get the gradation of colors.
• The gingerbread man cuts out in a jiff using the coordinating Holiday Collection Framelits Dies and the Big Shot.
• Sentiment comes from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and is punched out with the Word Window Punch.
• Background is Early Espresso Core'Dinations card stock run through the Big Shot with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder.
• The More Mustard card stock piece is cut with the Big Shot and one of the frames from the Apothecary Accents Framelits.

Blossom Punch Birthday

Here's a pretty birthday card featuring the new Blossom Punch, used as the focal point of the card with Beau Chateau Designer Paper.  I've also stamped 3 additional Blossom Punch pieces then run them through the Big Shot with the Polka Dot Embossing Folder and used them as a background image.  Color scheme is Pink Pirouette, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade and Early Espresso.  Not a lot of stamping on this one, just the sentiment from Happiest Birthday Wishes, a hostess-exclusive stamp set you can earn with an order or a workshop of $150 or more.  Something fun to try is layering two different colors and styles of ribbon on your card – in this case, Early Espresso 1/8" Taffeta and Lucky Limeade 3/8" Ruffled Ribbons.

Snowy Thank You

Now's the perfect time to make up a bunch of winter-themed thank you cards to send to those thoughtful friends and family right after Christmas.  Don't have a lot of time?  Here's a really quick and easy card that I'm sending out this year.  Simply layer together Marina Mist and Rich Razzleberry card stocks.  The Whisper White card stock was run through the Big Shot with the Northern Flurry Textured Embossing Folder.  I placed one of each of the three sizes of Jewel Basic Rhinestones in the centesr of three snowflakes and stamped the sentiment from Sincere Salutations.  Voila – done and in the mail!

Paper Flower Arrangement

I was so excited about having made this beautiful paper flower arrangement, and then I forgot to show it to you during Christmas.  But I got to thinking that it would be beautiful any time of the year by just changing a few things.  Wouldn’t it be wonderful for Valentine’s Day?  This is another project from our demonstrator-only magazine Stampin’ Success.  I pretty much copied the beautiful bouquet that the Stampin’ Up! home office showed in that publication.  Everything except the gold ornaments and the pine cones were made with just card stock and some Big Shot Dies!

The first flower I started with were the roses.  Using Real Red card stock, I ran it through the Big Shot with the Island Floral Die.  The center is just a small piece of card stock wadded up into a ball.  The glue gun was definitely my friend with this project!  Just use a bone folder to shape the petals and glue everything together.

Next are the lilies.  This is actually my favorite flower in the bouquet – I love real-life lilies, too.  I cut Whisper White card stock using the Big Shot and the Island Floral Die.  The center is Old Olive Stampin’ Pastels sponged lightly along with Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker and the Color Spritzer Tool to make the speckles. 

These are the chrysanthemums – actually the most fun to make!  Just die cut a bunch of Real Red card stock from the Flower Daisies #2 and shape them into flower petals with the bone folder.  So pretty!  This picture also might be better of the tiny little filler flowers in the lower right corner than the next picture I took.

These little flowers were so quick to make!  Just die cut Old Olive card stock with the small flower from the Island Floral Die, snip one petal off then fold them so that two petals overlap.  Punch Whisper White card stock with the Boho Blossom Punch then wad it up and adhere it with hot glue to the center.  I made lots and lots of these to fill in the gaps.  Also a good filler is the green “grass” card stock sliced really thin with the Tabletop Paper Cutter. Merry Winter

Here's a cute winter-themed card that doesn't have to be Christmas.  We've done this card for several workshops, and people seem to love it!  The beautiful blues of Pool Party and Island Indigo are perfect for those "snowy" cards.  I used the Snow Burst Textured Embossing Folder with the Big Shot for the white background.  The Big Shot also came in handy for cutting the scallop circle with the Scallop Circle #2 Die.  Next I stamped the three images – 2 snowmen and the sled – on Whisper White card stock then punched the image out with the 2-1/2" Circle Punch.  Be sure to stamp first – it's much easier!  Adding some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter using the 2-Way Glue Pen, plus a couple of Rhinestones and a piece of Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon, really stepped this card up.

Snow Much Fun

Everybody loves Snow Much Fun stamp set!  I don't think I've ever sold so many of one stamp set!  Here's another idea for all you Snow Much Fun lovers!  Base of the card starts out with Pool Party card stock and the Big Shot with the Polka Dot Textured Embossing Folder.  Cherry Cobbler backs the main image and creates the banner in front.  Love stamping on dark card stock with the Whisper White Craft Ink Pad!

Veteran’s Hospital Cards of Encouragement

I was asked by a women's group to prepare a stamping class for 40 women to make cards of encouragement to give to veterans at the the local Veteran's Hospital.  They're actually delivering their cards today!  These cards had to be fairly easy, since we had to get through 40 cards in 1-1/2 hrs. with mostly brand new stampers!  The first card is using some Spice Cake Designer Series Paper paired with Autumn Splendor stamp set.  Colors are Pool Party, Early Espresso and More Mustard.

The second card features Autumn Days for the main image and Sincere Salutations for the sentiment.  I've added two pieces from the Big Shot (that were pre-done for all the ladies!).  Not Quite Navy card stock uses the Square Lattice Embossing Folder and Old Olive card stock uses the Tasteful Trim Die.
