Zoo Babies and Flower Pot Designer Paper
It’s funny how an older stamp set can look so fresh and new when paired with a brand new package of designer series paper. And the color scheme becomes so easy – Night of Navy, Tangelo Twist, Crushed Curry, Lost Lagoon and Garden Green. In this card, I’ve combined Zoo Babies stamp set and Flower Pot Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ Up!
- You’ll find lining up all of the zoo babies easier if you cut out your 3-1/8″ Circle first using the Big Shot and Circle Framelits. That way, you can get a nice fit.
- The Stampin’ Up! Fringe Scissors are perfect for making grass!
- While Stampin’ Up! doesn’t carry In Color buttons, I found that a Calypso Coral Button from the Subtles Button Pack matched perfectly. A bit of White Baker’s Twine is tied through the center.
- Did you notice the Crushed Curry Candy Dot used for the elephant’s eye? Boy, those things come in handy!
And this month, buy Flower Pot Designer Series Paper and two other beautiful new paper packs, and get the fourth package free!

Embellished Events and Something to Say
Once again, I’ve turned to my Color Coach for help on today’s card, this time the new 2014-16 In Color Cards. I want to continue showing you these gorgeous new colors, but I also want to show you that they’re going to coordinate beautifully with all of your existing colors.
- I looked up Blackberry Bliss and my Color Coach showed me that it matched nicely with Smoky Slate and Melon Mambo. Then I added just a bit of Hello Honey.
- I paired an old and a new stamp set together for this birthday card – Embellished Events for the cake image and Something to Say, a brand new sentiment set, for the saying. The cake is markered direct to the rubber stamp, and I’ve added some Dazzling Details to the flames and a row of Rhinestones to the bottom of the cake plate. Another Rhinestone decorates the center of the flower created with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.
- Framelits come in so handy, this time to make a quick scallop edge to the Blackberry Bliss cardstock with the Large Scallop Edgelit.
- You’re going to fall in love with using the new In Color Satin Ribbon! The colors are beautiful, and it ties so nicely! Why not join the Ribbon Share and receive 2 yds. each of all 5 of the new In Color ribbons, plus many more! Check out my Ribbon Share HERE.
Here’s what one happy customer says about my Ribbon Shares:
“I got the package of ribbons from the shares in today’s mail. This may have changed my mind about the new in colors! They are prettier in person than in the catalog or even on sample cards I have seen. Thanks for all that it takes to make a share possible. I can’t imagine measuring, cutting, and wrapping that much ribbon!”
Don’t Forget!
Place a qualifying order with me, either online or by contacting me, and you can receive FREE card kits! I just added the hostess code for July’s classes – please use YWXPSZV6 when checking out to receive July’s Stamp Shoppe and/or Cards & Coffee card kits FREE.

Blended Blooms and Moonlight
This card features lots of brand new Stampin’ Up! products you’ll want to put on your wish list to order on June 2nd – new stamps, In Colors, ribbon, designer paper and cardstock!
- Let’s start with this great new designer paper. It’s called Moonlight, and it’s a 4-1/2″ x 6-1/2″ paper stack for just $6.95 – so useful and economical for card makers! Colors are Basic Gray, Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Sahara Sand and Whisper White.
- Are there some names in that list you don’t recognize? They’re the new In Colors for 2014-16! Check out my IN COLOR CLUB to get all of your supplies more affordably.
- The featured stamp set is called Blended Bloom and is a single wood-mount stamp. You’re going to be THRILLED to know that we now carry a black Memento Ink Pad. It was initially added to our product line to use with our upcoming Blendabilities markers, but let me tell you, it’s going to be your most favorite black ink ever! It’s similar to StazOn ink in that it gives nice, crisp lines to your stamped images, and it also doesn’t bleed when using the Aqua Painter with it, but it cleans off your stamp completely without leaving any staining to the rubber. Don’t think I’ll be using another black ink again now that I have my Memento Ink Pad! I’ve colored this image with my Aqua Painter and Lost Lagoon and Hello Honey stamp pads.
- The “happy birthday” sentiment is from another great new stamp set called Something to Say. Think lots and lots of great sentiments with a couple of cute images that line up with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (yet another new product!).
- And last but not least is the new 2014-16 In Color Ribbon in Hello Honey. I’m so glad we have a good substitute for our retiring Summer Starfruit! This great yellow has a little less brown and is a little more vibrant. It’s definitely a good addition to our Stampin’ Up! colors! And the ribbon ties so nicely! Join my In Color Club and receive 2 yds. of each of the 5 new colors of In Color Ribbon!

Hip Notes meets new In Colors
Here’s another peek at the new 2014-16 In Colors that will be released June 2nd! If you missed my previous post, here is another look at them. It’s also a fun way to use the sweet little set called Hip Notes in the Occasions Catalog – purchase this great stamp set before the end of May, because it’ll be unavailable after that!
- In order of appearance are the new In Colors – Hello Honey, Tangelo Twist, Lost Lagoon and Blackberry Bliss. And the fifth new In Color is featured in our scrumptious new ribbon, Mossy Meadow.
- Even with the advent of clear-mount stamps, I still use my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig all the time! It’s a snap to create stacked images like this one and line up everything perfectly.
- You’re going to LOVE the new punch trio called Itty Bitty Accents – it contains this sweet little flower, as well as a star and heart. I used some tiny Rhinestones for the centers.
That leads me into some fantastic news! I’ll be doing another In Color Club this year! This is your chance to get ALL of the new 2014-16 In Color products over 5 months without breaking the bank! Each month you’ll receive all of the products in one color, including markers, stamp pad, ink refill, cardstock, ribbon and embellishment, which this year are cute little printed clothespins! I also throw in some “extras” as a thank you for participating! I’ll be posting this information just as soon as possible, but for now, let me know if you want in!
Order these and all your favorite Stampin’ Up! products at my Online Store HERE.
Things you’ll need – NOTE: Right now, only the Hip Notes stamp set, Rhinestones, Glue Dots and Whisper White cardstock are available – 2014-16 In Color products and Punch Pack won’t be available until June 2nd.

Something for Baby – NEW for 2014!
Hi, All – so sorry I haven’t posted in a while! Just wanted to show you a picture of who’s been keeping me busy!
I had the privilege of spending the past 9 days with one of my grandsons, Landon, while his parents were on vacation. We had a ball and, in fact, I did get some work done while he was with me! I’ll be posting that soon for all of you Project Life fans!
But this morning I wanted to dig into my brand new box of Stampin’ Up! goodies! As a demonstrator, you are able to pre-order new Stampin’ Up! products before they’re available to the general public! Cool, huh?
- There are quite a few brand new products on this card for baby. The first is a new bundle that you’ll be able to order – Something for Baby stamp set has 12 stamps and coordinates with Baby’s First Framelits Dies. Buy them as a bundle and save 15% in either wood or clear mount. I stamped both the onesie and tie then cut them out in a snap with my Big Shot and new framelits.
- Another wonderful addition to baby cards is the Lullaby Designer Series Paper – pretty prints in Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Hello Honey and Pistachio Pudding that aren’t just for baby.
- While it isn’t Coastal Cabana, the Pool Party Subtles Candy Dot works nicely for a tie pin.
- “Hello Baby” is from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set – haven’t purchased any of the fun, new sentiment stamps yet, but this works nicely cut out with Bitty Banners Framelits.
- Circles Framelits are a must for all paper crafters – the backdrop circle is Hello Honey, one of the five new In Colors for 2014-16.
- The little accent in the top right is created with the Ticket Punch and a Naturals Designer Button. Use a sliver of cardstock to act as thread! NOTE: Purchase your Naturals Buttons NOW! They are on the retiring list and will soon be gone!
- Since my card measures 4-1/4″ square, I pulled out my Envelope Punch Board to create a custom-sized envelope in Hello Honey.
Thank you, Stampin’ Up!, for bringing us such fresh, fun paper-crafting supplies for baby! You’ll be able to purchase all of these new items beginning June 2nd.
Don’t Forget!

Introducing the 2014-16 In Colors!
One of the many perks of being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is to see brand new products well before the general public. But I have a HUGE treat for you today! I want to introduce you to the new 2014-16 In Color palette! We’ll be working with these gorgeous colors for just 2 years, and I know you’ll fall in love with them!
From left to right, please meet Mossy Meadow, Lost Lagoon, Tangelo Twist, Hello Honey and Blackberry Bliss! Now let’s look at them one by one!
MOSSY MEADOW – Not only am I tall, dark and handsome, but I’m rich too. And I’m deep, which is the complete opposite of shallow. All the other colors are green with envy. I’m green without envy.
LOST LAGOON – I am calm and peaceful, and that’s hard to come by in this crazy world. Maybe that’s why they call me lost. Find me and I’ll soothe your soul.
TANGELO TWIST – I am bright and vibrant – some might say I’m a bit flamboyant. Sometimes people confuse me with my cousin, Tangerine Tango, but I am truly my own kind of orange. Try me and you’ll see.
HELLO HONEY – I’m sweet and subtle. I won’t scream for your attention, but give me a chance and you’ll realize just how much I have to offer. Soon you’ll see I’m as good as gold.
BLACKBERRY BLISS – I am deep and rich, sweet and juicy. Plus, I’m purple, and who doesn’t need more purple in their lives? You know you want me.
And did you notice a brand new stamp set?! You’re going to be seeing this fabulous 11-piece set a lot in the coming months. It’s from the brand new 2014 Annual Catalog due out June 1st!
Don’t Forget!
I’ll be hosting another In Color Club this year, just like in past years! This is your chance to get all of the new In Color products each month for 5 months until you’ve gotten them all! It will be similar but not exactly the same as last year’s In Color Club. You can check out what it’s like at my post for the 2013-15 In Color Club HERE. I’ll be posting this fun club as soon as I’m able to pre-order all of the products!
