A Cardinal Christmas Revisited

A Cardinal Christmas isn't a new stamp set this year, but I love it just the same.  You can either take the time to watercolor the beautiful cardinal image or simply stamp it and go — and it looks terrific either way!  I've used Bravo Burgundy and Old Olive here for a little different slant on the traditional red and green at Christmas.  The background is quick as can be with the Big Shot and Elegant Lines Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The Big Shot also cuts out the oval in Very Vanilla card stock using the Ovals Originals Die.  I used a little Chocolate Chip classic ink and a Stamping Sponge to distress the edges of oval.   I used a piece of 1-1/4" Old Olive Striped Grosgrain Ribbon to back the cardinal image.  "Merry Christmas" is stamped on Old Olive card stock then punched out with a Modern Label Punch then adhered on a Very Vanilla card stock oval created with the medium-sized Oval Punch.  Two Gold Brads are added as accents to the tag using the Mat Pack and Paper-Piercing Tool.
