I have a card today that mixes the old with the new. Another Great Year is a super fun birthday stamp set, with lots of different images. Here I’ve used the sentiment along with the sweet cupcake.
- Color scheme is Strawberry Slush, Pool Party, Wild Wasabi, Basic Black and Whisper White – yum!
- If you don’t already own it, be sure to pick up the Arrows Embossing Folder – I love how both sides look very different!
- I’ve used the embossing folder with Pool Party Core’dinations cardstock. Sadly, all of the Core’dinations cardstock are being retired. I loved using this pretty paper. Use it “as is” for a textured cardstock look, or use it with a Sanding Tool to rough it up a bit.
- I’ve used two different sets of framelits on this card – Banners Framelits for the Strawberry Slush cardstock and Deco Label Framelits for the sentiment and Wild Wasabi frame.
The cute cupcake is stamped with Staz-On Ink, punched out with a 1″ Circle Punch (backed by a 1-1/4″ Basic Black cardstock circle) and colored in with Stampin’ Write Markers. I added a touch of Dazzling Details using a 2-Way Glue Pen to hold it neatly in place. - The final touch is some Basic Black 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon.

This card is so easy with the help of the terrific designer paper prints found in High Tide Designer Series Paper and the coordinating stamp set Hello, Sailor.
- Double matting this pretty paper with a Pacific Point card base and a small frame of Summer Starfruit cardstock really makes the designer paper stand out.
- The beautifully coordinating Pacific Point Striped Grosgrain Ribbon is the perfect accent.
- I love our ability to create wonderful framed images using the layering of the Deco Label Framelits.
- I also used a couple of Silver Mini Brads on the sides of the sentiment.

I can't imagine a more wonderful thing to say to someone – "Live Happy". Doesn't that sum it all up? I made this card for my precious sister for her birthday, and really, that's the best thing you could wish someone!
Today's card features a very pretty Sale-A-Bration stamp set called You're Lovely. And this stamp set can be yours FREE with a $50 purchase this month only!
- Basic Black, Coastal Cabana and Strawberry Slush make an impressive color scheme!
- There are actually three stamps used from the You're Lovely set – the main image is one stamp, "live happy" is another and then the tone-on tone stamping on the Strawberry Slush cardstock is a third.
- Using my clear-mount stamps, it was easy to space the stamp perfectly in rows. I just lined up the edge of my block with the edge of the preceding image.

Today's the last day to purchase this week's Weekly Deals. My favorite product on sale is the Tasteful Trims Die – I truly use it all the time. It's perfect for cards and scrapbooking, since the die cuts 12" strips. Now's the time to pick it up on sale for just $32.21! Notice the scalloped white cardstock on the left is created with this fantaastic die.
I hope you enjoy seeing this card today. I had some time over the weekend to just play, and it's so much fun to create with no time pressure or class in mind! It's a unique color scheme for me – Pear Pizzazz, Elegant Eggplant, Bermuda Bay and Raspberry Ripple. And it's a real crossover, since each color is in a different color collection.
- Simple Stems stamp set is used for the flower and stem. I stamped the flower 3 times, cut out three layers of the flower and assembled them one on top of the other with Dimensionals, then added a Bermuda Bay Candy Dot.
- The sentiment is from So Very Grateful stamp set, stamped in Elegant Eggplant and mounted over the stem with Dimensionals.
- I added a Bermuda Bay cardstock piece cut out with the Deco Label Framelits to the bottom.
- A pretty piece of Raspberry Ripple 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon ties it all together!

by Christmas Pop-Up Card and Thank You Thursday!
I wanted to highlight the Pop 'n Cuts Card Base and Label today with a Christmas card idea. This is a fun way to make interactive cards using the Big Shot.
- I first ran my Cherry Cobbler cardstock through the Big Shot using the Card Base Pop 'n Cuts with the magnetic Label Pop 'n Cuts inserted inside the base.
- Decorating the front of the card was a snap using the Ovals Collection Framelits and the pretty Special Seasons stamp set.
- I added a Hardware Clip Essentials with Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green ribbons and some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to the tree. Don't forget the 2-Way Glue Pen for the glitter!
- On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Christmas Messages set on Whisper White cardstock then cut it out using the Deco Labels Collection Framelits that coordinate with the shape on the Pop 'n Cuts.
- I created a place to write a message by using Whisper White cardstock, rounding the corners and stamping the pine cone bough image in the corner.

Here's a quick and easy card that gets its "wow" factor from a simple sponging techinque. I created a mask by using a piece of typing paper run through the Big Shot with the largest of the Deco Labels Collection Framelits. It's pictured below after I've used it.
I simply laid the mask over top of my Whisper White cardstock and used a Soft Sky stamp pad and a Sponge to sponge color inside the mask. Keeping the mask in place, I stamped the flower from Fabulous Florets stamp set in StazOn Ink within the frame. When I removed the mask, I had this pretty main image created.
I loved the sentiment from Blessings from Heaven stamp set to coordinate with this card. It could be used for so many different purposes – friendship, encouragement, birthday or just thinking about someone.
And be prepared to see LOTS of lined envelopes in my posts! I'm totally hooked on the Envelope Liners Framelits. It's so quick to coordinate your card and envelope for that added polish! The various Color Collection Designer Series Paper Stacks found on pg. 152 of the Annual Catalog are the perfect purchase. Here I used the Subtles Collection to coordinate the Soft Sky paper in the envelope with the ink used on the card.
