Heartfelt Stampers Team Fun

I look so forward to getting together with my Stampin' Up! team members on the first Thursday evening of each month.  It's time to learn, be recognized and of course stamp!  But my favorite part is just reconnecting with women I've come to call very special friends.  This month was especially exciting because we've change the format of our Team Times to include lots more stamping and a newly revised recognition program.  Here are pictures and some of the highlights of the evening.

In January we met to work on some fabric ideas using the Big Shot and the Scallop Square Die.  You can view a couple of the bags that were made HERE.  Pam Kane brought along her version of the rag purse — she turned it into a supply tote by making a bag that would accommodate a photo box.  How cool is that!

Phyl Lyons also shared a project she's been working on.  It's a very cute note pad holder and matching pen.  Wish I could have taken Phyl's class and made this myself!

Missy Shipman, my "upline's upline" sent some fun things our way!  Here's a beautiful felt pin she made each of us in attendance using the Big Shot:

She also sent me a beautiful hand-stamped card with matching envelope for being in her top 10 Sales Achievers!  It's using Vintage Vogue stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  Missy's card is so gorgeous, and it's a reminder to do some stamping on the envelope as well.

I was also recognized by my upline, Aly Schilling, for top sales achiever in her group, as well as recruiting a new team member.  Aly began making these darling Sweet Treat prizes for us!  I was lucky enough to earn four of them!

And here's the card I received from Aly as well.  February was a great month for me — thank you to all my wonderful customers for your support!

We also did some swapping, but I'll save those cards for later!

Would you like to come to our next Team Time?  Contact me to find out how to become a part of a very active group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators and join in the fun!

Things I Love

How cute is this little set of cards I made at a past Stampin' Up! Convention!  Here's the set of three little 3"x3" cards with envelopes, tucked neatly into a Medium Flat Cellophane Bag and finished off with an adorable topper.

And here are the individual cards:

All of this was made from the Things I Love stamp set and the color combo Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo and Chocolate Chip.  This is such a fun little set, and it's just perfect for combining in scrapbooks.  Think about doing an entire mini album about "Things I Love" and using this stamp set.

Item No. 115229 Things I Love   $15.95

Birthday Blessings

I shared with you HERE and HERE the cards I made my daughter and son for our big family birthday celebration last weekend.  Now I get to share with you the cards I received!

The first one was made by my daughter-in-law, Kim Huels.  Kim used her Big Shot and Big Bold Cupcakes Sizzlits to create this great card.  I love her addition of the wide Chocolate Chip Stripe Ribbon at the side using the Slot Punch.

Here's my card from Aly.  When we saw Shelli's presentation on vintage stamping at Leadership, it was as if the Heaven's had parted!   Now she can't stop with the collage cards!  Isn't this card magnificent?!  There's so much going on, that I just can't list it all!  Some components are:  Pretties Kit flowers, pearls and hat pin; rhinestone from Eggcellent Eggs Kit; Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware; flower from Extra Large Fancy Flower Punch; punching also from Curly Label Punch and Designer Label Punch; stamping from Vintage Labels, Charming and Tiny Tags stamp sets; and Kaleidoscope Designer Paper.

Here's my gift box that she decorated to coordinate:

And guess what was inside!  My very own Simply Adorned bracelet and charms!  I'll show that off another day!

Pocket Silhouette Thanks

Here's another thank you card I had fun creating for one of my February hostesses.

I started with a base of Bashful Blue card stock, then added some Old Olive card stock that I put through the Big Shot with the Stampin' Up! Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plate.  It doesn't show up very will in the photo, but "texturizing" the card stock really adds a lot of dimension.  Then came Melon Mambo card stock punched along both edges with the Scallop Trim Border Punch free with a purchase of $50 during Sale-A-Bration.  Next — time for some stamping with Pocket Silhouettes stamp set with three different stamps and three different colors.  I punched each one out with a 1-3/8" Square Punch then adhered them with Dimensionals.  The sentiment is stamped from the same stamp set with an added bit of an image stamp in the corner.  I placed this behind a square frame from the Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware kit and tacked it into place with Bashful Blue Brads from the Soft Subtles Brads collection.

THINGS YOU'LL NEED:
Item No. 111672 Pocket Silhouette stamp set   $18.95
Item No. 114512 Stampin' Up! Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plates   $11.95
Item No. 103375 1-3/8" Square Punch   $15.95
Item No. 118402 Scallop Trim Border Punch   FREE with $50 purchase
Item No. 111325 Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware   $29.95
Item No. 106954 Soft Subtles Brads   $8.95

Making the Best of It

Needless to say, we were all very disappointed that the Syracuse Regional Conference was cancelled due to a winter storm.  Some of us had the idea that we would leave early and get to Syracuse before the storm hit so that we'd be prepared to get there easily the next morning.  Little did we know, Stampin' Up! staff couldn't get in due to flight cancellations, and the OnCenter wouldn't permit anyone into the building!  We're so hoping that Stampin' Up! will come back again–I hope we didn't scare you away for good!

If we had to be stranded in a hotel room, this was the room to be in!  We rented a suite at the Craftsmen Inn, and it was just wonderful.  Here's a picture of the comfy beds:

And our little living room with Aly relaxing a bit.  (This is before we knew that everything was cancelled — see how happy she looks!)

We had a banana split and cocktails party in the evening, and those who arrived early in the day joined us.  We put the ice cream outside to stay cold then headed across the street for dinner.  When we came back, there was a mound of snow on top of the ice cream, and Aly had to dig it out!

Courtney's keeping up with news from home:

We played some fun games, and Aly had prizes to give away.

I got a large size candy bar wrapped with beautiful designer paper from Kaleidoscope designer series paper and decorated with the Big Shot and Lattice die.

A received a cute coaster and address book set with ice cream cones on them, and this tag holding them together.  It's from the Summer Mini Catalog that's not even out yet!  Look forward to this darling stamp set which features building ice cream cones with 2-step stamping.

And here's what I returned home to!  I must say, though, I live in one of the most beautiful places on Earth!

A Special Thanks

I've had such terrific workshop hostesses this past month!  I've had incredible workshop totals, as high as over $700!  I've been so busy getting all of the orders  in and product delivered, and now that it's done, I want to work today on some special cards to say thank you!

Here's the first one:

Sometimes I'm happier with my cards than other days, and today, I'm just feeling really good about this card!  I began with a Splitcoast Sketch Challenge of the day which is always a great place to start.  I noticed that the main focal image was just the right size for a stamp set I haven't had a chance to use yet — it's a Level 2 Hostess Exclusive stamp set called Wings of Friendship.  You can earn this stamp set FREE when you host a workshop totaling at least $400.  AND if you were to host a workshop with a $400 total, you'd also earn an additional product from the Sale-A-Bration catalog FREE.  Check out the Sale-A-Bration promotion HERE.

I began with Basic Gray as the base of my card, then added blocks in Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Pale Plum.  The stamp set offered several choices of images that I could incorporate in the first two blocks, and the sentiment comes from Thank You Kindly, which you can earn FREE with a $50 purchase.

I stamped the main image on Very Vanilla card stock 4 different times — the first on the piece of card stock I used for the card, and the next three times on scrap card stock in three different colors.  I cut out the two flowers and bird, added a Gold Brad to one of the flowers, and adhered them with Dimensionals.  I paper pierced across the top with my Mat Pack and Paper Piercing Tool and added a piece of Rich Razzleberry 1/2" Polka Dot Gosgrain Ribbon.  Underneath the main image is a strip of Basic Gray punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch, another item you can earn FREE with a $50 purchase.

Here's a close-up of all the dimension I was able to achieve on this card with one simple, inexpensive product — Stampin' Dimensionals.

Doesn't it sound like you should book a workshop with me this month?  Contact me today–there are still dates available!

THINGS YOU'LL NEED:
Item No. 114308 Wings of Friendship Level 2 Hostess stamp set
Item No. 111700 Thank You Kindly   $$13.95 or
Item No. 120248 Thank You Kindly   FREE with $50 purchase

Sweet Pea Scrapbooking Class

Friday March 12th
6:30 – 9:30 pm
at 67 Covington, West Irondequoit, NY

Non-Refundable Pre-Pay Deadline: March 5th

Join me for the 3rd of our MONTHLY Scrapbooking Classes! But you didn't have attended the first two to jump right in!  These classes are held monthly, and at each Scrapbooking Class you attend, you will complete 2, 2-page 12×12 layouts – 4 pages total. If you already scrapbook, add these pages to your existing album. If you don't, you could come to this class monthly and never scrapbook outside of class and have a fabulous 48-page album after a year!

The First Time you attend a Scrapbooking Class, you'll receive a FREE 12×12 Page Keeper to use every month to transport your completed pages home. In addition, at your first Scrapbooking Class only, you can purchase any Scrapbook of your choice at a 20% discount!

Our March Scrapbooking Class is a "Sweet Pea" Scrapbooking Class. Create fabulous spring pages that are generic enough to be used for any photos you have! We'll be using two of my favorite products in the Occasions Mini Catalog – the Sweet Pea Paper Stack and coordinating Sweet Pea Felt.

Here's a look at just one of the layouts we will create that evening (these pages are designed to go side-by-side so the second page doesn't have a title and instead has room for journaling). Just as an aside, scrapbook photos are very difficult to photograph. The photos just doesn't do these layouts justice!

You don't need to bring any photos with you to the scrapbooking classes; the pages are designed so that you can them in later once you find the perfect photo!

The cost of this class is $20 and includes 1/2 pack of Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper (go home with what you don't use, which will be 22 unused sheets) and all other supplies needed.
