This stunning card was created by my friend Phyl Lyons.  She's mastered the art of brayering, which is something I haven't taken the time to learn well.  I love the depth of color and shading she's able to get with stamp pads and a brayer.  She used Autumn Days stamp set, a perfect choice for the scene.  A strip of Spice Cake Designer Series Paper looks great with a fall color palette.

I began this card at a workshop where I demonstrated this fun technique.  Always Artichoke, So Saffron and Dusty Durango is the color scheme for this card.  I used a plain piece of Whisper White card stock run through the Big Shot with the Elegant Bouquet folder.  Then I flipped the card stock over and used a Brayer to apply Dusty Durango Classic Ink all over the paper with very light pressure.  Because the images were "debossed" the ink didn't go down into the flower image.  Next I inked up the En Francais background stamp with Always Artichoke Classic Ink and stamped over the top of the image.  Again, because of the debossed images, the background stamp didn't go into the white areas.  This technique is so quick and easy and the results are gorgeous!  The card didn't need much else to complete it with such an eye-catching background, so I simply stamped a greeting from With All My Heart on So Saffron card stock, punched it out with the Designer Label Punch and adhered it behind a piece from the Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware kit using Always Artichokes Brads from the Rich Regals Brad collection.  The border of So Saffron card stock  was decorated using the Eyelet Border Punch.
