Moving Day!

It's finally here — moving day at our house!  This is a picture of my stamping studio this morning — I can hardly stand it!  I'm so nervous about finding everything I need on the other end!  But I'm totally excited about my gorgeous new stamping space at our new home!  My husband and I moving from Middlesex, NY, to Rochester, NY, just one hour away.  My existing business with my wonderful Stampin' Up! customers won't change a bit, but I'm thrilled for the opportunity to expand my business in the Rochester area — once I get settled, that is!  Movers are coming first thing Monday morning, and I'll be sleeping in my new home that night!  I ask your patience in getting back to posting card samples – should be back in the swing of things in just a few days.

RETIRING STAMPIN’ UP! COLORS ARE SELLING OUT!

That's right! We've surpassed Stampin' Up!'s expectations of how much we would want to stock up on retiring colors!

You may be asking yourself: didn't Stampin' Up! anticipate increased demand on retiring colors? The quick answer is yes, they did. The long answer is a bit more complicated. They base their forecasts for these retiring colors on historical sales information for previous color transitions, as well as current buying behaviors. Obviously, even with the most careful planning, the response to a transition of this nature can surprise everyone.

For re-inkers in retiring colors, as they run out, they will be placed on backorder status and those orders will be filled as quickly as they receive the product.

Card stock presents a bit larger problem, as the process of ordering and producing new paper from the paper mills is very involved, and they can't order significant quantities at this point in time without putting the production of the new colors in jeopardy. To help them be able to provide you with the card stock in the retiring colors for as long as possible, they will be substituting textured paper for some of the smooth colors–including card stock in 8 ½ x 11 as well as 12 x 12–where the smooth is no longer available. They realize that this is an extraordinary situation, and that this solution may not be ideal for everyone. However, we hope this will help you get the retiring colors you want for as long as possible.

SO – all of that being said, I would *highly* recommend getting your orders in NOW for retiring card stock colors to ensure that you get the colors that you want while you still can! Some colors may retire before June 1st, and on June 1st all retiring colors will only be available while supplies last – which in most cases will be a VERY short amount of time.
