What a gorgeous new stamp set this is — Just Believe!  There are so many possibilities with all of the pieces you're given.  You'll definitely be seeing this stamp set on my blog again!  When I saw the new color Daffodil Delight, I was interested in pairing it with Night of Navy for a very classic color combo.  Here I've begun with Night of Navy card stock as the card base and stamped the large flower image in the left corner.  Then I added a torn piece of Daffodil Delight designer paper from the Brights Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack.  Next came a piece of Night of Navy 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon tucked under the designer paper and simply knotted at the end.  I inked the tag image with Stampin' Write Markers in the two main colors along with Garden Green, stamped on Whisper White card stock and cut it out with Paper Snips.  The sentiment is also contained in this terrific stamp set but it's in a long line so that it wouldn't fit in the frame.  No problem!  I simply stamped it on a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock and snipped out each individual word then popped them up using Dimensionals.

The two featured stamps sets in this card are For Everything and A Word for You.  I began thinking that I would use more of the Island Oasis Designer Series Paper but ended up only pulling out the Pumpkin Pie Polka Dot sheet from the packet.  But this gorgeous, summery paper pack did help me get started with a terrific color scheme — Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red and Old Olive.  For some reason, this stamp set really lends itself to 3"x6" cards.  See my Card Kit of the Month which also features For Everything along with Flower Brads.  I stamped a tone-on-tone image on the Rose Red card stock base, then added Old Olive card stock punched with the Eyelet Border Punch.  Next came the polka dot designer paper followed by the main image popped up on lots of Dimensionals.  I used a Silver Mini Library Clip and added just a snip of Old Olive 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon using a Mini Glue Dot.  A Pumpkin Circle Fire Rhinestone Brad acts as a glitzy center for the flower, and a little Dazzling Diamonds glitter held on with 2-Way Glue Pen gives the butterfly some shine.  Don't you just love the font of the new sayings in A Word For You!  Use both lines of the saying together or simply use a Stampin' Write Marker to highlight just the first line.  This sentiment stamp set is sure to be one of this year's most popular sets.

Here's a card designed by Phyl Lyons highlighting the new Subtles Collection colors.  Don't they look gorgeous!  It really shows you how much in need of an update these colors were!  From left to right the new Subtles Collection incudes: Perfect Plum, Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Wild Wasabi, Bashful Blue, Baja Breeze and Marina Mist.  Phyl showcased this great collection on a background using Early Espresso card stock (new to the Neutrals Collection palette) and the Big Shot using the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I added a sentiment using one of my favorite new stamp sets in the catalog, Curly Cute.  This stamp set is on the "must have" list for all stampers!

When I finished making my 4"x4" cards on my previous post, I had these 1/2" strips left over and just had to make them useful!  Here's a very simple card showcasing all of the In Colors.  The sentiment is from a brand new stamp set called Grateful Greetings.  You may remember it from one of the previous mini catalogs.  Well, it's back in the new 2010-11 Idea Book & Catalog just in time for the Fall holidays.  Most of the stamps contained in this great set are Thanksgiving or Halloween sentiments, but I think this sentiment works all year long!  I stamped it on Whisper White card stock then punched it out with the 1-3/4"x7/8" Large Oval Punch then mounted it with Dimensionals to Basic Black card stock punched with the Scallop Oval Extra-Large Punch.

TIP:  While the Basic Black ink is a good choice for stamping sentiments, I really prefer our StazOn Jet Black Ink.  It stamps crisper and sharper and you never have to worry about smudges or dry time.

Peach Parfait – A yummy strong peach – maybe think a light Pumpkin Pie.

Pear Pizzazz – I was really disappointed that Kiwi Kiss didn't make it back to the Core Colors, but this luscious green is almost it!  It's a little less bright and pairs beautifully (no pun intended!) with Wild Wasabi and Garden Green.

Poppy Parade – When I look at Poppy, I think it's just red, but put it next to Real Red and you'll see that it has a lot of orange to it.  We really don't have anything like this brand new color!

Concord Grape – When I first saw this color, I was convinced I'd never use it.  After all, we have Elegant Eggplant.  It was only on my shelf about a week before I made THIS CARD and now I'm absolutely lovin' it!

Blushing Bride – This is such a pretty soft mauve.  I had originally thought it might replace Blush Blossom, but it's quite a bit darker and much pinker.  Beautifully soft and feminine.

Cherry Cobbler:  A nice, deep red with vibrant tones and lots of life!

Early Espresso:  I always thought Chocolate Chip a deep brown until I met this fabulous color!

Marina Mist:  The PERFECT blue!

Cajun Craze:  Really Rust with attitude!  Love this "spicy" orange.

I love when accidents happen that bring even better results than you had planned!  I wanted to use Melon Mambo and Old Olive on this card and when I inked up this beautiful hydrangea stamp (Because I Care: a new Level 1 hostess-exclusive stamp set from the 2010-11 Idea Book & Catalog), I grabbed the wrong color marker and instead stamped it with Always Artichoke.  I seldom use this color, but it pairs perfectly with the bright Melon Mambo!  After I finished this one, I made the card I intended to make with Old Olive.  Here's that one:

Both cards begin with pieces I had left over from a workshop card.  To see an additional card with this same base (but in a different color) click HERE.  I began with a card base of Melon Mambo card stock.  An additional layer is created by a 4"x5-1/4" piece of Melon Mambo run through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dot Textured Impressions Folder.  I punched the left-hand side with the Horizontal Slot Punch (retiring on June 30th) and used Melon Mambo 1/2" Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon on the first card and Old Olive 1/2" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon on the second and tied them around that piece before adhering it to the base.  Both of these beautiful ribbons will be retiring on June 30th!  The first card uses both the Large Oval Punch and Scallop Oval Punch for the greeting.  On the second card, I stamped the thank you greeting sideways on the main image.  I added some more interest by stamping on a piece of 1"x1" Whisper White card stock with the tiny single flower stamp contained in this beautiful set, then used a sliver of Old Olive card stock to act as the "thread" holding the card stock and square Clear Button together.  The Clear Buttons are also retiring as of June 30th, so you'll want to order them, as well as the ribbons and punch, right away.  I'm really going to miss them — they're the perfect accent because you can change them into any color you want.  You'll get 8 buttons in each of 3 sizes: 3/4" circle, 1" circle and 1" square.  The Border Scallop Trim Punch adds a bit to the bottom of the main image.
