Monthly Scrapooking Classes
Last night was the June addition of our Monthly Scrapbooking Class! You can jump on board with attending these classes at any time. It doesn't matter if you scrapbook at home or not– it's a great way to get pages done, ready for your pictures to be added later! Landon’s Scrapbook Pages
Did I really say I was going to post scrapbook pages throughout the month of May for National Scrapbooking Month? Well, today is the 27th and I've yet to post any! Better late than never, they say!
Good scrapbook pages start with good photos, and I was really fortunate to get these wonderful pictures of my grandson Landon's first birthday. (That's my handsome husband with Landon.) His birthday was a Sesame Street theme, so I took the opportunity to do a little punch art and create all the Sesame Street characters. I had a ball creating these pages which are designed to fit side by side in my album.
The first page highlights using the Big Shot die-cut machine along with Alphabet Simple Letters dies. The Big Shot and alphabet dies are a must for scrapbookers! You'll never run out of the letters you need to create fun titles for your all pages. All of the bases of the Sesame Street characters began with the larger image on the Scallop Circle #2 die. To make smaller characters, use the smallest image on that die or the Scallop Circle Punch. To add some interest to the background, I punched several pieces of Summer Sun card stock with the Scallop Circle Punch and adhered them randomly, creating a "sunny" effect. Adhering them on top of the textured card stock of the same color really gives this page a pop. The color scheme is Summer Sun, Garden Green, Ballet Blue and Real Red. Summer Sun and Ballet Blue will be retiring soon and are only available while supplies last.
Don't forget to journal on your scrapbook pages! You may think you'll never forget a special event, but you will! And future generations to come will be so thankful that you took the time to tell them your story!

Our May Scrapbooking Class will feature the new Presto Patterns Specialty Designer Series Paper from the Summer Mini Catalog. You'll love working with this vintage paper which contains glossy designs which are magically revealed using various types of inks. You'll receive 1/2 package; some will be used to create our beautiful pages, the rest is yours to take home.

May is National Scrapbooking Month!
May is National Scrapbooking Month, and to celebrate, I'm going to concentrate on posting scrapbooking ideas. Here's a cute 12"x12" page I recently made of my eldest grandchild, Quinn. Scrapbook pages are much, much harder to photograph than cards!
I've taken the color scheme for this bright page from the colors and textures of the photo. Working with a great photo doesn't leave much room for error! I tied in (no pun intended!) Quinn's red polka dot jacket with Stampin' Up!'s 3/4" Polka-Dot Grosgrain Ribbon and Pumpkin Pie Patterns Designer Series Paper. While I was on a roll with circles, I pulled out Circle Circus stamp set to add some fun and interest. And I love that I can get 12"x12" Textured Card Stock in all of Stampin' Up!'s great colors! For just a few cents a page more, the textured paper is such a nice addition! The Eyelet Border Punch is a must for scrapbooking! You can punch a 12"x12" piece of card stock perfectly! But my most favorite product for scrapbooking is the Big Shot. With this terrific die cut machine, I'm able to cut out any letters for all my scrapbooking titles. Here I've used Alphabet Simple Letters die set. And I can cut chipboard AND card stock to cover them in one crank of the handle! Just add a bit of Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive and you're done!
