Here's a card designed by Phyl Lyons highlighting the new Subtles Collection colors.  Don't they look gorgeous!  It really shows you how much in need of an update these colors were!  From left to right the new Subtles Collection incudes: Perfect Plum, Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Wild Wasabi, Bashful Blue, Baja Breeze and Marina Mist.  Phyl showcased this great collection on a background using Early Espresso card stock (new to the Neutrals Collection palette) and the Big Shot using the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I added a sentiment using one of my favorite new stamp sets in the catalog, Curly Cute.  This stamp set is on the "must have" list for all stampers!

The version 1.0.4 update to My Digital Studio is now available. With this free update, not only will you get the latest My Digital Studio features and functionality, you also get all of the new colors (including digital card stock, ink colors and Patterns Designer Series Paper) from the recent color renovation! That’s a $50 value!

Updating your My Digital Studio software is easy.

• If you have installed the initial update (version 1.0.1), simply click Help and select Check for Updates in the My Digital Studio software. The update will be performed automatically.
• If you have not completed the initial update, download and install version 1.0.1 first, and then complete the steps listed above to get the most recent update.

By now, I'm sure you've checked out the fabulous job that Stampin' Up! has done with our color renovation.  So it was time to do my own color renovation!  I hope you've noticed that my blog has gotten a face lift thanks to Michelle Laycock of Laycock Designs.  I've kept the same great design that Michelle used back in October, but I've asked her to change the color palette to Pear Pizzaz, Peach Parfait, Crumb Cake and Rich Razzleberry.  Please take a moment and leave me a message to let me know what you think of the changes!

Protecting your Beautiful Wings Die:

Here's a tip for your Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die.  Be sure to run the die through the Big Shot so that the hinge is opposite the Big Shot handle. This will help protect the hinge. Also, make sure that you're using Tab 1 when you use the Multipurpose Platform. Follow these important steps to prevent your die from breaking.

When I finished making my 4"x4" cards on my previous post, I had these 1/2" strips left over and just had to make them useful!  Here's a very simple card showcasing all of the In Colors.  The sentiment is from a brand new stamp set called Grateful Greetings.  You may remember it from one of the previous mini catalogs.  Well, it's back in the new 2010-11 Idea Book & Catalog just in time for the Fall holidays.  Most of the stamps contained in this great set are Thanksgiving or Halloween sentiments, but I think this sentiment works all year long!  I stamped it on Whisper White card stock then punched it out with the 1-3/4"x7/8" Large Oval Punch then mounted it with Dimensionals to Basic Black card stock punched with the Scallop Oval Extra-Large Punch.

TIP:  While the Basic Black ink is a good choice for stamping sentiments, I really prefer our StazOn Jet Black Ink.  It stamps crisper and sharper and you never have to worry about smudges or dry time.

Did you know that you can search my blog in three different ways in order to find just what you're looking for?  Just look at the bottom of the left-hand sidebar for an image that looks like this.  (This is just a sample; you'll need to go to the actual buttons for them to work.)

1.  If you click on "Select Category" there is a drop-down box where you can search by what kind of information you're looking for.  Say you want a thank you card sample — just click on that category and you'll be brought to all of my thank you cards posted!

2.  You can also search by month.  Click the drop-down box that says "Select Month" under the Archives button.  If you remember seeing something you liked in a particular month, this might be the way to find it!

3.  In the box labeled "Search" just type some key words for what you're looking for.  You'll be brought to all of my posts containing those words.
