I received this great stamp set called Travel Log at the Leadership Conference in Nashville this past January.  I think it's a terrific set for scrapbooking, as well as making cards for people heading out for a special vacation or for a graduate.  Here I've used a decidedly masculine color scheme with Riding Hood Red, More Mustard, Basic Gray and Whisper White.  Change it up and use school colors for the graduate in your life.  The Basic Gray scallops are cut with the Big Shot and the Tasteful Trims Die.  The small row of More Mustard Scallops are made with the Scallop Edge Border Punch.  I've added a More Mustard Button from the Regals Designer Buttons with some White Baker's Twine through the center.  Stamp the sentiment twice, once on Whisper White card stock and again on More Mustard card stock using Basic Gray Classic Ink, then cut out "The Places We Go" and pop it up on Dimensionals.

I can't think of a better stamp set to invest in if you're looking for wonderful masculine images!  Countryside stamp set has so much to offer!  The images look great simply stamped as a sketch, or have fun watercoloring all the detail.  I began with Whisper White card stock then added Marina Mist card stock and a thin strip of Cherry Cobbler card stock that's been run through the Big Shot using the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  This is also a "must have" tool for masculine card making!  A layer of Soft Suede card stock with three Gold Brads backs the main image which is stamped on Whisper White card stock with Early Espresso ink and also backed with an Early Espresso card stock border.  Main image is popped up with Dimensionals.

Night of Navy is the perfect backdrop for this nautical-themed card, placed on Sahara Sand card stock so that the inside of the card isn't quite so dark.  It also helps to have an extra layer so that I could wrap the Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine around the card twice but have it hidden inside.  Next is a torn piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock, then the main image from the new Summer Mini Catalog called Sail Away stamped on Whisper White card stock with Night of Navy ink and torn as well.  This beautiful sailboat image is a single stamp selling at just $9.95.  "Praying for You" comes from Thoughts & Prayers and is stamped in Night of Navy ink on Sahara Sand card stock and adhered with Dimensionals.  You may like to purchase Best Dad Ever stamp set to use on this card for a great mix of Father's Day, birthday and thinking of you sentiments.

I began with a Whisper White card stock base, then added Pear Pizzazz card stock.  Some Peach Parfait card stock gets a great look from the Big Shot and the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The main image is bordered with Not Quite Navy card stock and the trees from Lovely as a Tree stamp set are stamped on Whisper White card stock with Early Espresso ink.  Simply ink up your stamp, stamp once, then without reinking your stamp, move it just a tad to one side and stamp again.  This makes the nice silhouette effect.  A handsome touch is a ribbon tab made with Peach Parfait 1/2" Stitched-Poly Ribbon and an Antique Brass Brad.  "Praying for You" sentiment comes from Thoughts & Prayers, but you could easily substitute a different sentiment for a great Father's Day or masculine birthday card.

We're going for "easy yet effective" so there aren't a lot of embellishments, but I still think this card has a lot of interest.  I began with Not Quite Navy – haven't used this color in years, and all of the sudden, it works for everything!  The old truck stamp comes from Countryside stamp set and is stamped in black on Whisper White card stock then mounted onto Poppy Parade card stock.  Old Olive card stock and some Poppy Parade 1/2" Stitched-Poly Ribbon held down with a Gold Brad give some pop.  Praying for you sentiment is from Thoughts & Prayers stamp set.

I just love when the ole' brain clicks on and I get some inspiration for combining products!  I wanted to use my new stamp set called Word Play and I love this particular image.  I decided to make my husband a "just because" card and maybe slip it into his briefcase before he leaves for work one morning.  So now to come up with a masculine color scheme.  But wait!  I have a whole package of  Travel Journal Designer Series Paper from the Summer Mini Catalog that I haven't even opened!  Those colors would be perfect for him!  And then the real light comes on!  The map paper is just perfect with the "world" sentiment!  Oh, yeah!  I'm cookin' now!

The rest was easy — the "world" saying just had to be in a circle, right?  I simply colored in different parts of the stamp with my Stampin' Write Markers to coordinate with the colors of the designer paper, added a bit of Pumpkin Pie 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon and I'm done!  Color scheme is Pumpkin Pie, Night of Navy, Bashful Blue and Garden Green.  Main circular image is popped up on Dimensionals.  I think he'll really like this one!

This card begins with Kraft (soon to be Crumb Cake!) card stock; the card measures 5-1/4"x5-1/4".  I cut squares in Real Red and Bermuda Bay card stocks that measure 2-1/4" and placed them in each of the four corners.  The three images are all from Sentimental Journey stamp set stamped in Real Red, Bermuda Bay and Chocolate Chip Classic Ink then punched out with the 1-3/4" Circle Punch and adhered with Dimensionals.  The sentiment is from In A Word and is stamped directly to the white card stock in Chocolate Chip Classic Ink then again on scrap white card stock in Real Red Classic Ink.  The "our" is punched out with a 3/4" Circle Punch and adhered over top of the Chocolate Chip letters using a Dimensional.  Three Gold Brads and some 5/8" Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon add some more accent.  Once finished with the card, it looked like it needed a "little something"!  So I grabbed my Log Cabin Smooch Spritz and gave it a couple of squirts.  Just the right touch!  Wouldn't this make a beautiful anniversary card?

I began with a base of River Rock card stock!  Yes, I said RIVER ROCK!  With the new color renovation (HERE), we are bringing back this terrific neutral color that was an In Color a couple of years ago.  You'll be able to purchase the card stock, ink, reinker and marker on July 1st.  I stamped the background with Sanded background stamp and Chocolate Chip Classic Ink.  Next came a piece of Chocolate Chip card stock, then Baja Breeze card stock run through the Big Shot using the Stampin' Up Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plates.  Yes, BAJA BREEZE is making a comeback as well!  This was such a popular In Color and it's returning on July 1st also!

To add more interest, I used a new product called Smooch Spritz in the color "Log Cabin" to put some shimmer in the background.  It doesn't photograph as shimmer, but this is a pearlized accent spray that will add a dash of color to any project.  They come in a ready-to-use spray applicator and are great for cards, scrapbook pages, chipboard and more.

I'm highlighting a brand new stamp set called Sentimental Journey.  Purchase this great new stamp set in either wood mount or clear mount and stamp for all different occasions — this would be great for masculine cards and wonderful for scrapbooking your favorite trip.  The suitcase was stamped in Chocolate Chip Craft Ink.  I added some Clear Embossing Powder and heat set it with the Heat Tool.  A Chocolate Chip Jumbo Brad with a So Saffron card stock circle behind ties well with the circles created around the suitcase image.
