Last group of swaps

Here are the last 3 swaps I'd like to share with you – lots of terrific ideas for using Occasions Mini Catalog stamp sets!

This pretty monochromatic wedding card is from Michelle Bertrand; she used Love & Laughter stamp set along with Pool Party and Island Indigo card stocks and inks.  Background gets dolled up with the Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, and a couple of Pearls complete this classy card.

Here's a beautiful card created by Nicole Bertrand.  She used Apothecary Art stamp set, along with Sale-A-Bration Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper and Ribbon.  Love the coordination of the stamp set and the Labels Collection Framelits Dies – layering them creates this beautiful border around the main image.

Last but certainly not least is a pretty wedding card from Sharon Vickery.  Sharon's used the Bird Builder Punch along with the stamp set Loving Thoughts to create this beauty.

Sharing Swaps

Here are a few swaps from a team event we recently had.  All stamp sets featured can be found in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  So many talented ladies in our group!  I'll be sharing more as the week goes on – stay tuned!

Designed by Kristin Springer, this card is so beautiful!  Apothecary Art and Loving Thoughts stamp sets paired with the new Framelits Labels Collection has been a real hit!  I love the touch of the the double butterflies from Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die.  Color scheme is Certainly Celery, Crumb Cake and Whisper White.

Don't know who to give credit to for this darling card!  It uses Mouthwatering stamp set and features a simple color combination of Soft Suede, Island Indigo and Whisper White.  So happy about Stampin' Up!'s addition of 5 new colors of Baker's Twine to coordinate with the 2011-13 In Colors!

KC Groth uses the darling set called Gnome Sweet Gnome to create her soft, pretty card.  Colors are Lucky Limeade, Pink Pirouette and Wisteria Wonder.  Lots of sponging on this card, and the cute little lantern is cut out and popped up on Dimensionals.

More Valentines from Leadership Conference

We were treated to such a cute display of cards at the Leadership Conference in January made by fellow demonstrators.  The Stampin' Up! home office had the idea that everyone bring samples of their best work and display them on a clothesline.  I took lots of pictures!

This one highlights so many great products – PS I Love You stamp set, Fashionable Hearts and Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslits Dies, Adorning Accents and Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Embossing Folders and Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine!  Whew – all in one gorgeous card!

I love the "unexpectedness" of the color scheme in this card – Crumb Cake, Pool Party and Wisteria Wonder.  It also features PS I Love You stamp set, along with the brand new Hearts Collection Framelits Dies, Sweet Shop Specialty Designer Series Paper and Sweet Shop Jelly Bean Brads.

This is a gorgeous example of combining some of the new Sale-A-Bration exclusive items – Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper and Outlined Occasions stamp set.  Love the Clothespins and clothesline made with White Baker's Twine.  Hearts I believe are mostly punched with Heart to Heart Punch.

Valentine’s Day Stampin’ Up! Style

One of the highlights of the Stampin' Up! Leadership Convention in January was all of the display ideas, both from the Stampin' Up! home office as well as from all the demonstrators who attended.  I'll share some of my favorites with you in this post and in upcoming posts.

This is a darling set of Valentine's Day ideas that was on display.  The notes use PS I Love You stamp set.  Love the idea of making the pencil into an arrow!  And I love the idea for the cake pop box – they're all the rage right now!

My Digital Studio Hybrid Valentine

I've held up posting this My Digital Studio hybrid card because I've been trying to remember how I made it!  Oh, well, just know that it's all MDS downloads and super easy to create.  I just added a Pool Party Designer Brad to the center of the bow.  Easy as can be!

Be My Valentine

The Twitterpated Product Suite in the Occasions Mini is one of my most favorite product lines ever!  Here I began by choosing the pretty floral print I wanted to use then building colors around it.  Base of the card is Whisper White, followed by Blushing Bride card stock.  Next I layered the designer paper and Island Indigo pieces.  Finally is Baja Breeze card stock run through the Big Shot with the Polka Dot Embossing Folder.  The cupid image is heat embossed with Versa Mark and Silver Embossing Powder, punched out with the Extra-Large Oval Punch and placed inside a frame created with Pear Pizzazz card stock and the Designer Frames Embossing Folder.  Accents are Twitterpated Designer Button and Cherry Cobbler 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon.  Even though it's technically Riding Hood Red in the designer paper, the Cherry Cobbler looked perfect with this card.

Here's another card using the Twitterpated Product Suite from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  I began with a Whisper White card base, then added some Basic Gray that's been run through the Big Shot with the Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  Next comes some layering with Pear Pizzazz and a piece of the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper.  The main image is bordered with Real Red and stamped in Basic Gray ink.  I stamped again in Real Red, cut out the "XO" and popped it over the gray with a Dimensional.  The larger stamped heart (and the sentiment) are from PS I Love You, the "must have" stamp for Valentine's Day.  It's punched out with the Full Heart Punch, but one of the hearts from the Framelis Dies Hearts Collection is the exact same size.  So if you don't already own the punch, you may want to consider more bang for your buck and purchase the Framelits.  The three smaller hearts come from the new Fashionable Hearts Embosslits Die – this little tool both embosses and cuts out 5 different hearts!  Love it!

MDS Valentine

I'm pretty excited to be using My Digital Studio more!  I love what you can create mixing both traditional and digital card making.  Here I've used the MDS download called My Cute Valentine Printables Designer Template to print out the main heart image onto Whisper White Card stock.  Set includes 4 different hearts designed to coordinate with the Hearts Collection Framelits Dies.  I began creating my card using a Whisper White base, then Riding Hood Red, then a piece of Twitterpated Designer Paper, and finally the heart popped up on Dimensionals.  I added a Rhinestone and some Basic Gray Satin Ribbon for a pretty finish.  Hybrid card making is so fun!

Gnome Sweet Gnome

This new Occasions Mini stamp set called Gnome Sweet Gnome did not have me at hello!  But I actually really like how this card turned out!  Can't seem to get away from the 2011-13 In Colors – they're just the bomb!  They seem to be perfect for every style card.  And did you know that you can purchase an In Color Kit that includes all 5 stamp pads and a package of assorted card stock for just $29.95?  That means that you're paying for the 5 stamp sets and getting the card stock FREE! 

I stamped the gnome image in Staz-On Black Ink then watercolored the images with an Aqua Painter and stamp pads.  After I was through, I traced around the images with a Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Marker to give it some depth and also used a Stampin' Sponge and Pool Party ink to sponge the sky.  The lantern in his hand is stamped on a separate piece of card stock then cut out and popped up on dimensionals.   I used Silver Mini Brads in the corners.  What do you think?  Is he a "keeper"?
